I saw a RT from Bruce Feldman and wanted to share. Last 5 years of high school players star ratings from rivals.

For the ppl who say "we have talent" let those numbers sink in for Bama, FSU and OSU.
Bama has 85 players who were 4* or 5*, which is **** near our entire roster count.

Over that same time span using rivals. We have 34-4* and 4-5*
If our current class hold. We have 11-4* committed which is **** near 1/3 of the amount of 4* players we gotten the last 5 years.

I don't think this team should ever lose to Duke, I don't think we should have given up 500 yards to VaTech. But ppl need to take the blinders off if they think we have all of these amazing players because currently we don't. Let this last thought sink in. In Al golden's "First" recruiting class. The two best prospects were Anthony Chickillo and Jalen Grimble. I got alot of love for G3 but that should tell you all you need to know right there.

Do our coaches stack up against anyone?. **** no. Gerry Faust would be accused of running up the score on this staff.

How many games do you think Jimbo would have lost this year with our talent? I say 4. No right or wrong answer, just food for thought.

FSU does have alot of talented players but their most talented (and valuable) guys are wearing headsets.

They're absolutely slaughtering everybody they play. Who would they have lost to with our players? Clemson?

Duke has gotten a little better, we have dominated duke for years. Didn't bother going back any more, Duke is not a scrub in the ACC this year as many of you keep talking about. They obviously recruited very well, forget the stars at least for the mid teams. You'd think they have been dominating us for years the way some of you are talking, lol. We are struggling because our D line blows, linebackers and Db's are average at best. The freshmen and the new class will be a huge upgrade in two years.

Still no reason to lose to Duke/VT and struggle with Wake and UNC.

Problem is u have these 90 year old fans that think recruiting is the same in the past as now, they come up with the ed reed or ray lewis excuse saying that they were 2 stars. Its 2013 u fkin tards theres not alot of diamonds nowadays and its hard to go unnoticed in this day and age especially great SFLA kids because they all talk and build up the hype.

If we keep letting fsu take the best players we will always lose, maybe we steal one but they will be the dominant program over us.

But wasnt Jimbo the greatest 4 loss national champion corch of all time? I'm sure I read that around here a time or 2.

Dumbo finally got a QB who can attack all portions of the field. Winston is going to be a ***** to deal with while he is there. When you can manufacture points like they do, the defense can afford to gamble more than not.

Don't know or care about all that. All I know is that they now have a DC at FSU who's a Saban disciple and he's gonna have their defense among the top in the nation every year. (just like Saban has Bama's defense) FSU's demise from now on, every season, will depend on their QB position.

They went 12-2 last year and won a BCS bowl as ACC Champs....

History tells us Jimbo has owned the State of Florida on and off the field since he's been at Florida State. History tells us he's undefeated against Miami. History tells us he's won his division 3 out of 4 years. History tells us his players are developing and getting better.

And now he has a pretty young FSU squad running train on every team they face on their way to a BCS title game appearance.

Call him Corch or whatever but I'd take those results ALL DAY

Can't look at it that way. I would say that in year 3 Jimbo would have the team playing better. In fact, I think 95% of the coaches in the country would see some tangible improvements by year 3 with the same squad we have. Our staff is just awful at developing players. The facts speak for themselves, so no need for opinions at this point.

Fair point...weirdly enough when I think about it I don't think jimbo would be in a much better position record wise if he had been dealt the same hand as golden 3 years ago...minus Winston I think he will always find a way to lose to a nc state or wake every year...conversely, though I am not sure golden would have fsu in this position player development wise

if the d line can shed defenders get in there gaps stop the run and get a pash rush as well as cover check down out routes and crossing routes then thats a huge improvement to the defense

you have 5* jalen grimble and how many other players in those classes that arent even on the team.

Fact is I would take Jeremy Cash 3* Sophomore from Duke over any starter on our team. He has more tackles and tackles for loss than every safety on our team added together. He has 91 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 4 INT, 2 FF, 4 PD. Jenkins/Bush/Highsmith/Rodgers have 82 total tackles, 4 tackles for loss, 5 INT, 2 FF, 5 PD.

So basically it takes 4 Miami safeties to have the same production as 1 Duke 3* Sophomore. But keep saying we are more talented or have better players on defense then Duke.
