It's such an unknown with so many teams losing so many pieces.

What has Arch Manning shown us that he is some super stud? I mean he may be that, but he needs to show me.

I don't think they will win the NC, but I guess you can go Oregon #1? They return alot of talent did well in portal.

There should never be rankings until halfway through the season
Totally agree. Unfortunately these rankings start having an impact on the way teams are viewed. And therefore impacts their chances of success. If you start high there is opportunities to drop games that a team going on a run doesn’t get if they started outside the top 25.

Can’t wait to revisit this abomination by Staples to see exactly how close he comes to being accurate….me thinks he won’t be.

SEC is getting love in this preseason poll much like the basketball conference is currently. Saw someone say they expected 12 SEC basketball teams in the tournament. I don't follow it like I used to, but are they that good in basketball this year?

Canes playing 3 Top 25: vs. (5) Notre Dame, vs. (9) Florida, and @ (22) SMU
ACC Top 25: (10) Clemson, (21) Miami, (22) SMU, and (24) GT

Breakdown
ACC - 4
B1G - 6
Big 12 - 4
Ind - 1
SEC - 10

LOL @ Florida. Have done **** all in the portal, lost a bunch of guys, and are relying on young talent and an over hyped QB who, when you look at his actual stats, didn’t light up anything.

Makes our strength of schedule look good haha
Mark my words, just like I said going into the sWaMp, we are going to beat their asses at Hard Rock next year.

They may lose to LSU the week before, but I hope they’re 3-0 when they come to play us so we can burst the bubble.

If this is in any way accurate when the AP votes in August, just move down to the FCS. At least they crown a real champion each year.

10 SEC teams in the top 25? They are making college football more of a beauty pageant than it has been in decades.

The preseason rankings and even rankings for the first month are a major problem because it bakes in bias and cushion for the SEC and B1G. A team that is ranked preseason #1 can lose twice in Sept, beat 2 cupcakes and still likely be ranked in the top 15. If you take away the preseason rankings and a team goes 2-2 with no meaningful win in Sept, they wouldn’t be ranked at all.
