TJ Huggins Killian HS 6'3 WR

Is this supposed to be a good thing?

I didn't mean it necessarily as a good thing, but I also didn't mean it as an indictment on this kid either. He could be physical at this level, but can he at the next? He could win every jump ball at this level, can he at the next? I doubt he is as fast as Wiggins.

Long ago, we recruited a guy in the same vein of body type. His name was Lance Leggett. He was a stick, much like Wiggins and this kid. My concern then when people talked about adding weight, was that his frame wouldn't allow much.

Today's game is different. Corners, obviously not all, are bigger than they've ever been. 6'3, you would tower over a corner. Not so much anymore, it's changed.

Again, not bagging on this kids play, but these body types always concern me. Same as Pope's did, but I expected him in the slot, not outside like he's asked to do a lot. We have no physical presence at the position, not yet anyhow.

If we were struggling I'd take him because he has good upside & Killian kids almost never bust. But our receiver class is A1 this cycle.

Derrick Gibson is getting Killian back on track & keeping Richmond Heights kids home.
Struggling? We finished our WR class months ago.

FWIW 6’3 and above lanky receivers need speed, body control, great route running, and above all HANDS. (See exhibit AJ Green)
