He was a name mentioned as a WR target months back, why no love for a local Miami kid? The tape looks solid. Whats the local 411?

He has some good upside, long thin framed Wide out with good speed as a long strider & good natural athletic ability. He's raw as a WR, is a kid that after getting stronger in the S&C could be a good sleeper down the line.

But we don't have enough room & we're done at WR recruiting.

As of now he's going to a G5 in Tulane, but he'll be a prospect to watch to see how he develops in a few years.

Done meaning we have the guys committed that we want or done with guys committed and maybe another not public?

Done meaning, we have 3/4 WR's (depending on what they do with Curtis) already committed & they're not going after anybody else unless someone elite at the top of their board wants in.

We also only have 2 maybe 3 spots left in the class, doubtful they add another WR.

They want portal help too, after Brown we could be done. Unless somebody is pushed out and there’s not many options they want to push out. Maybe one.

I’d love to slide Curtis to WR, take a DB or Stud LB and portal DB. Would portal guys count against this class, or against one of the previous classes that suffered some attrition? Or is it more complicated than that?

Definitely more complicated, at least currently.

It would be nice if the NCAA makes it less complicated, and creates two separate classes of IC kids - kids out of HS/JuCo who have never enrolled at a 4-year school previously, and Portal/JuCo kids who have been at another 4-year school previously.
 
Before the pandemic, I was hearing his name as an off-season/7on7 riser. This was my writeup on Huggins back in spring:

TJ Huggins, Killian (6’2, 175)- Physical possession receiver who can high-point and pluck the ball. Tough player who competes after the catch and plays special teams. Performed against quality competition including Northwestern. Showed the quickness to beat press coverage in off-season. Offers from Syracuse and Boston College.
