You are right offering a kid as a junior isn't a must but in some cases there are schools that offer earlier and build that relationship which is important and then people want to get mad at a kid who is begging for a UM offer and the. Finally gets it after time has gone by and the kid has a strong relationship elsewhere. Sometimes it's about timing.

I never stated it was a must but this guy is talented and if we lose out on other prospects in his position we will be in disbelief. If he does commit soon elsewhere we can always try to flip him but if we did offer soon it would give him something to think about throughout his recruiting process.

Good point but also you have to remember many of our commits now got offers after their junior football season and its not because they weren't good enough just that timing was different. fact is many of these kids that are committed now or went elsewhere we forget when they got offered because it isn't always who offers first but where the kid feels best so let's just wait it out
