@Cribby this is a great arc with long build up time. I think you’re on the right track with the Austin/Hart double turn, but I don’t know if Memnon has ever been a legit heel like Austin was prior to KOR 96. That story took a long time to develop and Prichard said that the crowd really pushed Austin to baby face faster than they were ready for. It was Harts cry baby “I built the business” persona that solidified the turn, though, and it took a long time in wrestling story timelines….

D$ is that elite worker that has emerged more on the mic as the next part of his gimmick because his in ring skill is being taken for granted. He put the business on his back through hard work and doing things “the right way.” But as he was out doing matches every night and getting no respect from the crowd, he started schilling for the admin more to counter the rising swell against him. Especially as the more charismatic, yet enigmatic, Memnon was doing huge spots and dropping promo bombs. The fans came for the show D$ built, but they stayed for the captivating Memnon that has established himself as top of card talent. There’s only one place to settle that kind of heat… 😂 😂

Memnon has been booked with enough heat to be the heel but like the Monday night wars I have to ask “ is he really the heel” or the anti hero”? It’s stone cold all over again. The heel is getting a baby face pop and the baby face is getting more heat than expected.

Could D$ be the Mr McMahon character or better yet the Rock when he went heel and joined the corporation ? Everyone says D$ is now part of the machine so maybe the booking might need to change. Something like an Austin Brett Hart double turn . The fans seem to be going towards Memnon.

Regardless we need to settle this and fast. The money has been drawn and it’s now time for the pay off. Imo it needs to be in the old blue steel cage , “ two men enter and only one leaves the winner”.

I’m personally tired of the back in forth with the promos , the run in’s and interring in each others threads / matches . Let’s find Jim Cornette and Dutch Mantel where we can figure out a finish then book it at a ppv. With @SWFLHurricane as the special guest enforcer. That way we won’t have any Nick Patrick type hijinks .

Lastly I come from the old school where you book heat, there’s likely going to be no decision just to squeeze one more match out of this like the previous mentioned Starcade 97.

ONLY ON PPV, meaning ad’s will be all around the video and you’ll only see half the screen.

Holy **** bro...well crafted. Sure you don't wanna take the book? Dusty, Ric, Cornette, etc would be proud of the storyline you're laying out.

And remember, Jim Cornette was the one who came up with the idea for the Montreal Screwjob. We might have an Earl Hebner type (aka Andrew) count to 3 or call a tapout on Memnon to let D$ keep the belt.

Sadly, I think NYSOM went the way of the Blue Blazer a few PPV's back.
