Tim Reynolds on NCAA

The NCAA will inform the university 24 hours BEFORE they release the COI. FACT

http://www.miami.edu/index.php/ncaa_investigation/the_process/

Approximately six to eight weeks following the hearing before the Committee on Infractions, the Committee will alert the institution that the release of the final report is imminent within 24 hours. The institution will receive a copy of the full report before the NCAA releases its findings publicly, regardless of whether or not the institution is public or private.

In the COI report, any bylaw violations as determined by the Committee will be detailed as will any punitive measures imposed on the institution or individuals. Staff and student-athlete names are redacted from the public report.

he cancelled practice so he has that extra day to look for a job as tight ends coach at some high school.

we doomed.

Maybe Golden has seen all he needs to see and decided to end camp a day early, and maybe the kids busted their *** in camp and he threw them a bone and gave them a couple days off.

Nope... Not possible. The world is ending.

I have this sinking feeling we're about to get throttled. We will be the sacrificial lamb, used as an example to other programs at a perfect time when it seems players/programs are breaking from the NCAA's grip of tyranny.

We're ****ed. I tried to put on a brave face, but I can't do it.

I seriously doubt Golden shut it down because he got wind of sanctions and they're so bad he felt he had too. This close to the start of the season no way you cancel practice unless its to reward your players.

do the number of practices you can have all summer include the practices the week prior to the first game?

in other words are we ending camp early in able to have more practices the week prior to FAU?

I don't think he would cancel practice because the sanctions are bad, but because he didn't want the players to answer the questions right when the news dropped.

We are probably all wrong anyways so who cares.

Sanctions announcement day before the UF game.

Maybe he's taking everyone out for a 48 hour booze fueled orgy to celebrate the end of the dark cloud.

You guys have to butch up more than a little.
A couple dark cloud show up and all of a sudden it's Hurricane Andrew getting ready to plant a sailboat in your living room.
One thing we know with Golden: everything he does,no matter how large or trivial, is to make the team better.

Maybe he has to deal with NCAA mess or maybe it's a reward. Either way if we have leaders on the team they step up and run some "unsupervised" practices. 7 on 7 some conditioning some film work. Lots can be accomished with good player leadership.
