I don’t believe for a second he was pushed out. It’s a lot easier to become a HC as OC (even if you weren’t calling plays) then it is as an RB coach. Title matters in every industry.

Good luck to him but RB coach isn’t a position role that I’m overly concerned about. Just another opportunity to bring in an elite recruiter.

Hopefully, now our RBs won't try to cut back in the open field when they have the angle..

And conversely, hopefully they will start to cut when they are in the backfield running directly at a defender

Funny thing is we could just go back to the UCF well and pluck Kam Martin from them. Young up and comer who seems to be a solid recruiter.

This cycle alone he got Taevion Swint, Frankie Arthur, and Stacy Gage.
