Tie breaker acc championship

This is old. There are no divisions.
You’re right. Couldn’t find the other article the other day. I remember it would likely go to the 4th or 5th tiebreaker with 3 way tiebreaker. Think that would be combined record of your conference opponents.

At the moment, our opponent's are 4-5, SMU 4-8 and Clemson are 5-13. FSU will hurt us next week, but Duke, GT and Cuse will help that percentage.

No way they’ve played this many games.

Yes they have.

Clemson is 5-0 in the league.
Their 5 opponents are a combined 6-15.
FSU is 1-5, NC State is 1-3, Stanford is 1-3, Wake is 1-2 and UVA is 2-2.

Miami is 3-0 in the league.
Their 3 opponents are a combined 4-7.
VT is 2-1, Louisville is 2-2, Cal is 0-4

SMU is 3-0 in the league.
Their 3 opponents are a combined 4-10.
FSU is 1-5, Stanford is 1-3, Louisvile is 2-2.

So right now Miami is the #1 seed.

But next week, when we beat FSU, we add a team that’s 1-6 in the league. Our record goes to 5-13.

SMU gets Duke, their record goes to 6-12.

Clemson has a bye and gets Louisville in 2 weeks.

We need the teams we play to keep winning. Notably Syracuse because they’re 2-1 and neither Clemson nor SMU play them. GT as well, they’re 3-2 and don’t play either of the other 2. Root for Stanford and UVA to keep losing.

Bottom line, this is silly for now. Long way to go. Just go win the next 5. We’ll be ok. Even though I wanna win the league and get a first round bye, there is ZERO chance a 12-0 Miami is left out of the playoff if somehow they lose a tiebreaker and don’t play in Charlotte.

I say the 12-0 and home game sounds good.

It is worth noting though that in the last 2 decades 2 teams have finished undefeated in ACC play the same year only once: 2015 when Clemson and UNC both did it.

Looking at the remaining schedules , you certainly could “see” SMU and Clemson winning all their remaining games.
The higher probability is that at least one of Miami, Clemson, and/or SMU drops a conference game at some point before the end of the season.
