I had the chance to watch Heritage live for the first time this season last night against Fort Pierce Westwood. Although it wasn't the greatest competition for them to be stacked up against, I just wanted to see how each of them were moving and how they looked physically. By no means am I an offensive line expert, but this is what I saw.
T.J. Slaton - Slaton is the widest person on the field in nearly any game that he plays in. A college weight room and nutritional plan will do wonders for him. As a Heritage source said, "his body looks the same that it did freshman year". Despite that, one of the things that impressed me the most about Slaton was the amount of snaps that he plays and that should highlight the type of athlete that he is While starting as the right tackle, he also doubles as a defensive tackle in the rotation and made a few plays at that spot. I knew that he played defense, but he really did not appear to be taking any snaps off. He is most likely a guard in college, but it's not out of the question that we could see him at right tackle once he redistributes his weight. Supreme athlete.
This is how I continue to picture Slaton...

Kai-Leon Herbert - Herbert is an athletic, long, and lean lineman. Miami is recruiting him as a tackle, which may be out of pure need, but he really looks like a future pulling guard to me. He plays left tackle for You can see Herbert's basketball background in the way that he moves, which is an encouraging sign. He needs to add strength before he is ready to make a big impact in college.
