Thoughts on Golden being able to pull solid Miami area RB's

2 out of 4 classes he's gotten arguably the best rbs from Miami yet we have this poncho character complaining.
And who from Miami other than Miller did Shannon get fairly easy?
Reason why we've had depth isssues at RB IS BECAUSE SHANNON DIDN'T RECRUIT IT WELL.

2 out of the 4 classes? Who am I missing?

He brought in Duke. Otherwise, meh.

More concerning is his recent trend of missing on Collins, Michel, Cook, and now Powell.

THAT is a problem and every Hurricane fan has plenty of reason to be upset with the subpar result.

Meh on Yearby? Seriously? I don't know what you're smoking, or anyone else who thinks Yearby is "meh." GTFOOH with that ****.

Collins wasn't coming here and neither was Cook. I don't care what people say.

I'm sorry but I think this thread is garbage!

Yearby

James Coley

Yearby with duke and the bus with Crawford.... It's a great backfield, but we are still 1 injury away from disaster. Powell backing out hurt.

+1 Job 1 of a HC is to change kids minds and get them to your school. Specifically when they are in your backyard.

For those who think the thread is garbage, I specifically said this is not a bash Golden thread nor was it meant to be. It was an honest question where I thought hearing everyone's thoughts on this particular area would be interesting considering we are on a message board where we discuss our opinions and red the opinions of others. I just don't understand why we are struggling to pull in solid rb depth considering the playing time available right now at the position.

Anyone who believes Golden would not love to lighten the load on Duke (and use this as a selling point to recruits) is crazy. There's plenty of responses that are acceptable here. The cloud (really can't use that for this year's recruits imo), got paid, was never interested in Miami, FSU won the title, butt buddy went to x school, etc. Just wanted to create some discussion and hoping it didn't devolve back into Golden sucks and fire him vs I want to have Golden's babies. I guess that might be too much to ask at this point though.

Its a good backfield with or without BP........thing is miami should always hav elite backs cuz of location. Epic clusterfkin fail by the staff

Collins was delivered to ARk by his coach. Sony to UGA was always about the money. Cools family has been shopping him around since optimist! Granny got a new house in Tally. Also cook was tired of living in Yearbys shadow.

If Collins was a bright kid and his coach wasn't a a fat slob who only cared about himself - we would if landed Collins.

Sony and Cook we just simply couldn't compete with.

We are very lucky to have Yearby! The kid is a dynamite player. He will get burn this year for sure.

This.

Golden can't land the top talent and he can't evaluate and get the second tier talent that Dade is flooded with at running back.

Duke Johnson goes to Miami regardless of who the coach is. Yearby followed James Coley. Who has Golden got? Dallas Crawford I s'pose?

In the meantime, missed out on Alex Collins, Sony Michel, Dalvin Cook, among others including tier one players but could have had his pick of the litter of tier two and three talents (that still go on and have good careers elsewhere).

Facts? If you have proof of players getting paid and coaches delivering players I'd like to see it.

I can prove you have your head stuck in sand. Collins was set to pick Miami, his own family came out and said so. It just so happens that his HS coach who knows Bielma personally got him to commit to Arky. Regarding Sony, Georgia is working on a package deal with his brother Marken Michel who transferred out of UMass; Definitely a suspect situation. Cook you can say Golden struck out on or not. But it's being rumored that his grandma is getting a house in Tally.

As much as Golden has ****ed me off with 1) Stubbornness with D'Onofrio and the defensive scheme and 2) With the Penn ST. situation as well as recruiting. He can't sink to the depths that the $EC is allowed to. We are still under probation. We get caught and we're screwed.

My head is not in the sand, I understand that, that kind of stuff goes on, but M3N is talking down to another poster and telling them to read his post to get the "facts" when it is actually his opinion on what has happened. If you guys have proof of these recruits getting paid, by all means I think we would all love to see it. If not it is all conjecture and a easy go-to excuse for a recruit not picking your school. There are plenty of reasons to not come here other than just getting paid. I'm just over everyone always throwing out that excuse every single time.

That is the default excuse on this board when we lose a kid of need... $$$$ It is never anything the coach does.
