Word for word what i felt as well and what i told friends. Losing doesn’t bother me nearly as much as how we lost. Anyone with sense knew this team was walking a razor and wasn’t the number four team in the country. That’s why I kept saying I’m not angry when the polls had us lower than fan’s thought. We haven’t played like a top five team. Maybe this loss wakes them up and adjustments are made , that’s all we can hope for.Yep, I’m not even mad about the loss itself, great teams drop a game now and then, and only a rare few make it through a season undefeated.
But this loss? It was just flat-out embarrassing. The reason I feel this way boils down to pride and ego. Losing a hard-fought battle is one thing, but getting disrespected and not even putting up a fight? That stings. That’s exactly what happened to us on Saturday.
Georgia Tech literally ran the ball right down our throats, play after play. They lined up, telegraphed exactly what they were going to do, and we still had no answer. Our defense got their pride taken from them, and it was like watching us just take it without a response.
