This is what AG inherited when he came to Miami....

So this happens to every CB that faces a tall WR?

Miss the 50 lbs part? If you can't tell the difference of being tossed around like a rag doll in the first gif or just getting pancaked on the second then there's no point in discussing it any further.

Benjamin has what, 4 inches and 40 pounds on that guy? Minimum? Oh and a full head of steam.

About 5 inches & 50 lbs... with a 5 yard sprint.

So this happens to every CB that faces a tall WR?

Kelvin Benjamin is the same size as Calvin Johnson..... besides that he excels at run blocking its a strength of his game.

lets get a clue ppl

Like Stephen Morris excels in clutch situations and Gus is a better runner than Yeldon and Gurley?

Who is the CB and WR in the other gif?

Maybe the CB in other gif did no no whether the WR was blocking or running a route. The gif does start half-way.

It was against an option team from the 2 yard line.. not even remotely similar. Please, continue though.

the CB is back pedaling and playing off the ball giving the receiver a running start to hit him while he is off balance. if he was trying to play bump and run and got owned like that off the snap then i would have a problem. it happens though to everybody, i saw freaking ray lewis get blown up and put on his *** by michael turner when he came on a blitz a few years ago

OP i dont understand what ur trying to say about "give it time"

Miami is 7-1.... give it time for what to beat FSU? They are an elite team so that's going to take time but you dont have to bring up some old **** like it's still relevant today.

Those problems w/ the earlier Al Golden teams are gone, he has been running his program and anything that's still a problem is his fault and the coaching staffs fault.

The defensive philosophy needs to change, the idea that giving up yards doesnt matter only scoring defense matters is ridiculous.... Every great defense i know pushes to dominate in both categories not just one.

Also in terms of recruiting, this upcoming class is finally going to be able to fill in a lot of the wholes in this team w/ quality talent. The NCAA situation and Randy Shannon were to blame for a lot of the problems but even then Al Golden has missed on some recruits that Miami needed whether he didnt recruit them, they didnt qualify, committed elsewhere, got kicked off the team, or just left.

Skai Moore, Matthew Thomas, AJL, K. Grooms, Eddie Johnson, Gabe Terry, Jontavious Carter, Robert Lockhart, Storm Johnson, Alex Collins, Keith Bryant, Jaynard Bostwick, Jayron Kearse, Levonte Whitfield, Jalen Grimble, Joey Bosa, Leonard Williams, Denver Kirkland, Tarean Folston, Greg Bryant etc....

all of these were different reasons behind them, maybe the NCAA situation had to do w/ most but at this point Miami cant afford to miss anymore especially since FSU has shifted the strength of their recruiting base towards central florida and Bama.

I think James Coley will be able to do what he did at FSU and get "his" players from SFL to come to Miami and Golden should be able to keep Florida out for the most part.

Brodrick Smith Kansas State WR vs JoJo Nicolas

You have turned into a ****n troll on this site.... all you do is ****n lie.

Stephen Morris does excel in "clutch" situations wtf r u saying and I have NEVER said Gus is better then Yeldon or Gurley you ***n ******.

also are you ***n stupid on top of retarded?... that was the KSU game Al Golden's 1st year you ******. JoJo Nicholas and who cares about the receiver, Al just got here at that point the entire team was charmin soft.

That is nowhere near the case this year ******, this team is very physical.... Gunter was hitting dudes like a safety last saturday so the *** what Benjamin pushed him to the ground on 1 play.... He does that to everybody in every game ***** if you knew that you would STFU

That is where we were as a program.. Looking at us today we look nothing like that physically. We are stout, in shape & always around the ball. We aren't there yet but "give it time" and we will be. Rome wasn't built in a day... Implementing a S&C from the ground up takes time. We are about halfway there.

I'd say Miami is more then halfway there a lot more. Miami is 7-1 this year and could be a 1 loss team at the end of the season. The lack of talent is more so a depth issue and a upperclassmen issue. Next year that gap will close as our talented underclassmen begin to turn into upperclassmen and we add the upcoming class to the talent we will already have back next year.

Agree with this but gotta get Cook to change the O to elite and have a good stable of back. One big miss sets that position back and hes that type of miss IMO.

I'd rather get a Bo Scarbrough.... Miami needs a big elite power running back like him.

Dalvin Cook, honestly i'd rather have him on defense w/ some plays on offense and STs Yearby and Powell can do what Cook does. Miami needs more talent on defense and he'd be perfect for it w/ JC Jackson.

But regardless as long as we get Cook is all that matters
