That FAU coach has it written all over his face that he is ready for week 1 to be over. He knows Miami has a whole offseason and 2-3 years of pent up frustration that is going to get taken out on the poor owls.

i dont want this to turn into some *** FSU **** but look at these pictures of FSU's LBs at their media day.... you cant tell me that our LBs arent hands down bigger then theirs as a collective unit.

Maybe I'm not wearing my O&G glasses but if I'm just judging off the practice footage they don't look any better or worse than we do. Matter of fact, Gator's O-line looks leaner and more athletic than ours. Their D-linemen are twice as active as ours. Their LB's are slightly smaller than ours but I'm willing to be they're a faster unit. This ain't gonna be no cake walk.

LOL @ any fan of FSU calling our LB's small. Their LB's look like vegetarians. Dude's are slim. Fast as **** I'm sure, but light in the ***.

My biggest worry is if we have a mean team or not. Coach D doesn't come off as a coach that wants a nasty mean Defense. Muschamp on the other hand will lose his **** if his D isn't a bunch of animals.

This game will be won or lost on the line of scrimmage. I'm worried we aren't mean enough.
 
I think of all the criticisms of D'Onofrio, saying he doesn't value physicality is perhaps the most off base. Dude is a grumpy SOB and if you go look at how he played when he was at PSU, you might change your tune.

All those sideline histronics sure got his Gatuh squad fired up to play defense against Bridgewater and dem Miami Cardinals boys. Nonsensical tripe.
 
Donofrio is all about a big physical defense, no more excuses now. BTW, get us early because this defense will get better as the year progresses. The OL is arguably the best unit in the country. Who has tackles like Henderson and Flowers with internal road graders like Linder, Feliciano, and Bunche? We have an experienced, talented, and massive OL. Will challenge the 01 unit for best ever. This looks like a top 10 team to me.

IF the OL doesn't just maul the **** out of teams this year then I don't know what the **** is going on. Flowers and Henderson are 1st round type OTs. Feliciano and Linder will be pro OGs. Bunch is versatile and may himself be a NFL OG. McDermott is a solid, smart C. Plus this unit has been together for 2 years.
 
I hope people don't think Florida will come into Miami and just dominate us physically with there defense, we have 2 of the top ten players in college football(Morris &Duke). Our offense is too good for that ****, plus I think coley has a lot of knowledge on Florida's defense being that fsu players against them every. Coley probably would have done several thing different in last years game if he was the play caller. I think we will come out and punch Florida in mouth in the first quarter, 14-3 Miami at the end of the 1st.

WTF.... All D'onofrio do is yell at players, Coach Coley clowning the QBs for not throwing the ball good enough, and Coach Carroll was cussing out the Grad Assistants today for not holding the equipment properly. What more do you want???

This **** aint sweet.... its football.

That has nothing to do with this staff except the last 2 1/2 years they've been at Miami, which we are all aware of the circumstances.

Also ur response doesnt explain why u feel that Coach D "doesnt" want a "nasty mean" defense??

I mean i think he would prefer a nasty mean defense over a clean nice one.

Did you watch the FSU game last year. We whipped that *** (on the defensive side of the ball) and we were younger and smaller than they were. Our guys were laying the wood and those FSU **** were dropping like flies. If its one thing you don't have to worry about its the meaness/physicality of our defense.

UF'S dline looks..FOREAL....and all those dudes can run..willing ot bet theri dt Easley is faster than both of our starting de's.
Their LB'S...i was impressed by Morrison...not sure ont he rest.

FSU lb's i dont care how they look...are some beast. Those guys can run like ****....all of them...their smallest lb is Matthew Thomas actually. FSU has two lbs that start here day one...Thats their strength on d actually imo.

gotta be physical with both teams though...i like how we laid into fsu last yr...i dont know why u guys are downplaying the fact that UF is a physical team....they leaned on teams lat yr thats how they churned out wins....They have some maulers in the run game on the ol....and i fully expect their dline to give us some trouble.
