This game wasn't close

Because we were up they called multiple play action passes, which I will never understand. We sort of stopped the run in the second half, but in each series they called a pass play which, since they didn't run, basically saved us a key 4-5 yards which otherwise would have resulted in them driving and winding down the clock.

they scored a fg and a td off of horrible spotted 4th downs that became 1st downs.

We weren't winning the game if it reached 24-7. Georgia Tech was extremely well prepared on offense and we were off balance all day. At they point they fumbled while leading 17-7 the crowd was silent and nervous and our defense was practically begging for a break. The guy seated next to me was ready to give up.

A thread like this is very predictable. There are countless simplistic fans who will dismiss the Georgia Tech offense as gimmick or high school regardless of what is happening on the field. We stuffed them in 2009 through 2011 but they have given us quite a bit of trouble the past two seasons. It's fortunate that their caliber of athlete on defense is stagnant or declining slightly while our roster continues to improve.

I think that Miami was the without a doubt the better team. But the turnovers kept Tech in the game. If Dorsett fields that punt cleanly it is ball game right there.

Agreed, we were getting ball close to midfield and we were coming off a TD drive
 
We played sloppy and made the game more difficult than it had to be. If we played a solid game we could/should have blown them out. Usually turning the ball over 4 times results in a loss. We were so much better than them that we were still up 3 TDs with one minute left.

It seems to me we have our offense running more efficiently now. To get to the next level we need to limit the mistakes. If we can do that we are a solid top ten team. Almost there but still some work that needs to be done.
 
Our TOs, made them jump out to the early lead, their TOs, made us pull away late. Fair score. We did dominate on O those 551 yards.

I'm far more nervous about the VT game now.

And FSU seems like a much taller order. Not sure we are there yet. Their O that can score as quickly as we do - our D will have to play lights out.
 
To me the game wasn' even close... If you want to look at it with turnovers then yeah but to know we put up close to 600 yards in a contest where they had the ball 75% is crazy... Im not worried about Tech or FSU... We got a bye then Tar Heels... Talk about those other guys Nov
