clearly obvious they are doing it on purpose. Shouldn't take this long to type up only a few pages.

Pure speculation, and that is all that it is, is that there are ongoing negotiations between the two sides on an agreement that everyone can save face.

I doubt that.

The only way the NCAA can save face is by doubling down and hammering us. Do you really think the NCAA figures they can skate past their own rascalism by levying a wrist slap now that we are back in the limelight due to on field performance?

They went all out with their talking points that we were the worst offenders of all time.

The NCAA, I am sure, are thinking about this years recruiting. If we keep winning, don't expect a ruling anytime soon.

I would think the "negotiations", from our side, would be "Declare the penalties NOW!" (unless we are negotiating over an epic penalty, and quibbling about how many more years of bowl bans?)

They are probably preparing for the legal ramifications of the outcome.
I hope we are doing the same.

I don't see how miamis legal side hasnt gotten this conclusion quickened or thrown out by now. Ncaa should be held to a certain standard in terms of professionalism and speediness that they haven't displayed.

Is Shalala and company were actually knockin' down the NCAA like we have heard here so many times, it would have been over by now. (Unless of course the "Shalala got this!" crowd think she is intentionally drawing it out over multiple recruiting years because she got this soooooo bad!)

Let's face it. We are in full "Thank you sirs, may we have some more? (Bowl bans and skolly losses)" mode.

To me this isn't good. They obviously are thinking many of the allegations are true. Now they are weighing their ***** ups & the self imposed penalties.....we will not see a decision until November/December

Not good? Shalala PWNS the NCAA, and if you think differently, you have to be a stupid fan!

Smokey I'm usually with ya but this is just bull****. Donna has said repeatedly that we don't won't or will respect any penalty other than time served. She's cooperated and then went firm. Perfect. At this point whatever the NCAA does won't be the fault of our President not being vigilant enough.

You all have no clue how legal processes work, do you? There's no speeding along because of perceived influence. Shallala has not been in a position to do anything significant about this since we filed our motion to dismiss. The cards were played at that point and it was only a matter of time before the NCAA ruled; either f'n themselves and drawing out an embarrassing appeal with a ridiculous ruling, or offering some semblance of moderation and objectivity. It will come to a head soon and it will be a **** of a lot more than a few pages. Over/under on 50. End up being a wash with some scollies, 10-15. Big Q is LOIC.

3-0 in the US SC, 2-1 in the Ark SC (no small feat, most defense attorneys have a perfect 0 for life in the Ark SC, they are scum. Pryor/Clinton like racist Democrats) and a couple landmark wins in Federal Courts.

If you would like a sample, might I suggest Arkansas v Butler. Or perhaps, Moon v. White Trash? (ironic, still makes precedent but at the time, I had no idea what was going on, I just won in court, won on appeal and won big time with the supremes!) So don't tell me how the legal processes work, clerk.

Aww samichesrdelicious! Look at the wax buildup on these shoes! Now I want them cleaned, and polished, with a fine chamois! Chop chop!

I am with Smokey. How can you say that Donna has this or they aren't messing with her yet look how long this has gone on and when Donna ask for conclusion they drag it on longer. The NCAA doesn't want university presidents to try and control the investigation and they are showing Donna that. That being said I don't think Donna could have done anything differently to make things better. The NCAA simply was not going to let that happen.

Maybe after this is all done Donna can lead some reform in the NCAA to make the investigation process fair and much shorter. There needs to be rules and guidelines in place that the NCAA needs to follow as well.

Well, the NCAA made quick decisions on our players when the actual play suspensions went down. If the University suspends a player the NCAA actually steps in on behalf of the student and quickly goes through the information and makes a decision on the players behalf. It seems when they go after a University it si a different ball game all together.

Unfortunately, the U does not have any leverage, we know we broke rules they know we broke rules, we both know they ****ed the investigation up. They know we are ****ed about it, as well as the public.

I am sticking to my guns on I think they are just trying to put out a huge report that says a whole lot of not much. They need to end this looking like the boss, they will do that. It will initially look like some kind of big penalties, but by the time you go through it all it and realize how much of the penalties are 'time served' it will not be much. Like they will call it a two yr post season ban in the paperwork, but we have already done that. There will be some scholly losses but I dont think it will be worse than USC. My guess is 21 over 3 yrs. 5 seems to be a bit light and 10 (USC) would seem to be a bit heavy.

The way AG talks about this finally coming to an end, sometimes makes me feel like he thinks once the process ends we will be free. He makes it seem like we will walk. He did sit on the hearings so maybe he knows something. I understand that at this point the uncertainty is the toughest thing for him, but scholly losses will hurt too. So the way he says 'its almost over' makes me think it could possibly be time served.

The only thing that is 100% in this is that the NCAA are a bunch of incoherent idiots who cannot get out of their own way....
