Things have lined up

He’s got the talent advantage and got dismantled. It’s one thing to lose a close one, it’s another to get blown out by a less talented team.

You’re seeing his ceiling. This is who he is whether it’s in Oregon or Miami. If he can’t make the playoffs with the talent advantage he has in the worst P5 conference what makes you think he’ll ever make the playoffs with Miami?

I want a winning coach.. I don't care who and where he comes from. Wario is a loser and always will be, and Lane will be Lane hard pass. But keep posting and telling yourself it will happen.
This “loser” has two conference championships, rose bowl win, beat OSU at the shoe, and a 12 win season.

We aren’t touching a coach with a better resume

Oregon wins this game and they have a clear shot at the playoffs, yet they dropped a huge **** on the field. Diaz missed out on a NY6 game last season by getting spanked by UNC, and fans were ready to throw him into the ocean.

TVD may bolt if he thinks Mario is bringing a Marcus Arroyo-type offense, even if there is some valid reasons (no receiver depth) they used that O with Herbert. The abolishment of the "sit a year" rule makes having your star players in on your coaching selections a must. Yeah, sounds like the pro's but worse, instant free agent (if they have never transferred before).

Something to chew on...

Did he have the talent advantage against Ohio State this year when he beat them by two scores on the road without Flowe and Thibideoux?

Is it possible your recency bias is making a bigger deal out of one game so you don’t have to put your eggs in one basket?

He won't. But he is a "Miami guy" that is a average coach so we should go all in. It's the Miami thing to do. Have Kiffin in our hands and go conservative

1. I doubt it
2. Lashlee chose Miami over Mario/Oregon. I am hoping Mario would be able to look at this roster and coaching staff and realize our offensive scheme fits better.

That team QUIT on Mario. Period. This is the day and age of CFB. Kids been hearing their HC is flirting with his dream job. They’re DONE with him. They about to lay down every game for the rest of the season.
Yeah it looked like a team that didn't want to be there.

Maybe you're right and they've not been able to ignore the smoke about Mario to Miami - but that was a shocking performance.

Zero to chew on. Whomever is coming in is building around TVD.

I feel like its pretty consistent with the rooting for losses crowd. Its right in their wheelhouse.

CJ was handcuffed. If they played that game this weekend Ohio St would embarrass them

Don’t want the usual 3 year Lane experience.

Is Mario allowed to bring Flowe with him? We need the LBs. Seriously, is there a major violation for some players coming over via portal if the head coach also jumped ship? Not aware but can imagine since it sounds sketch.

Leopold from Kansas brought over like 10 guys from Buffalo

Mario has been the HC for 4 years and at Oregon overall for 5. Why is the recruiting god stuck with Anthony Brown?
Never said he was a recruiting god. Just said if/when he comes here that I hope he keeps Lashlee. Things will be much better for him than AB at Oregon.

Yup.

Hard pass on Mario.

How many close games this year?

Three top 10 recruiting classes in a row and you get curb stomped at Utah? A 3 loss team.

38 - 7

**** no, just no.
