These guys love Manny man

I'm really happy for them. The win was huge. But I hope they were all business again starting today. Because a loss to UL in our house would destroy all the momentum they've just built up. Time to start beating the teams we are supposed to beat!

I'm pulling for Manny. His heart is all in and wants to win in Miami, for Miami. No question about it. Hope he gets it going and continues to put his hands on the Defense. Too bad he didn't do it sooner when he became HC. He has the "IT" factor when it comes to the defense and his players know it and want him involved. It's a trust factor and I just don't see it changing anytime soon.

Hopefully the players on the team start to think "Team" and not "I" and if so, they will win lots!

He's done a terrific job at recruiting. We consistently have young guys on defense showing how good they are. If it weren't for all of our LBs getting hurt at pretty much the same time, our defense would be loaded with depth right now.

But the thing he does best is get guys to work harder and become better. He may not get the 5* recruits but stars are overrated anyway. How many 18 year old kids are done growing and ready to play football at an elite level? Not many. The best coaches develop players and so far he's done a very good job at that. Just look at Rousseau this year. The guy played WR and S in high school and is now dominating at DE.

Stars aren’t overrated. The best teams get the best recruits.

THis Saturday will tell us EVERYTHING we need to know. We always seem to drop the next game after FSU for whatever reason. If they don't then we might be looking at something special right here. I will say it now...IF (and that is a big IF) things bounce right and we end up winning the Coastal...we play that way the rest of the way, we will beat Clemson. We have the talent to do it.
I don't know if we beat them, but we would certainly play them far more closely than Clemson would like. More like a 24-10 or 24-16 type of game.

Will Manny make the necessary changes to the staff though? When he wins out this year they will give him the money he needs to upgrade. He has to hit on the hires.

I will be very surprised if many, if any, changes are made to the staff. Just watching the weekly press conferences tells me that. The kids seem to really like and respect the coaches, too. I guess we'll see how the rest of the season goes - another downhill streak could change alot....

im good with it as long as his teams are staying consistent, hard to stay happy with a coach who beats a ranked team one week and loses to the worst in the coastal the next. I’m very happy with the last two wins, now that needs to carry to next week against Louisville

Good post. He can't continue to lose to a Georgia Tech. They'll look back and see how bad a loss that was... totally inexcusable and that has to stop. They have to beat a mediocre Louisville team. This team needs to be ready and on point the next weeks and close out the season on a positive note. Without it, I am concerned that Manny will not cut it. A positive finish will help with recruiting, esp in light of FSU's dumpster fire. Lose 1 or 2 more and it will be challenging.

Clemson did not get to where they are today by only recruiting 5* guys. They brought in athletic 3* and 4* and developed them into very good players who could win games. The 5* guys are just the ones that are able to win from day 1 but you're not gonna get them as a middle of the road ACC team. Like I said, how many 18 year old kids are ready to play at this level? Not many. How many of these kids are just starting to grow and need another couple of years in strength program before they are able to compete? The answer is a lot more and these are the ones we need to go after right now.

If Manny wins the next 3 games I will be all in on him for the future, BUT he can't lose sight of the struggles this team faced this year. He needs to go out and make smart decisions about the coaching staff, WE NEED RECRUITERS, also hire analysts and QC coaches to help improve the development of our players. Don't get complacent and buy your own hype

If he can deliver in these two-fronts I will be ok giving him 3 years to work it out.

What would u grade thIs staff as a whole? From a coaching and recruiting standpoint.

Rookie move to believe anything said in interviews. If changes aren’t made by Manny after the season then inevitable will happen, eventually.

people don't want to hear this ... they want instant 5*'s and 10 win seasons without any process because we were good in the 80's and early 2000's and anything less is unacceptable
