That is true, but remember that Howard told us 5 years. Then he went out and got in trouble with the NCAA during his stay, got punished, and still completed timeline successfully. Granted this mess was bigger, but Howard even got making the mess in his time line and still delivered. Al is now addicted to blaming the ncaa. They did not mandate a horrible defensive scheme that gives up 500 yards a game. Al brought that with HIM. They did not mandate sticking with a qb having a horrible year. They did not mandate being married to the players who work out the hardest at the expense of talent. That is Al's imagine of the best players--one that happens to mirror himself. Remember Al did not make the travel squad until senior year I think. JJ was All American I believe. NCAA or not, this is a team that Al built and I think the players on the field are the ones he thinks are best.

I want Al Golden the HC. I do not want Al Golden the DC. Nor do I want Al Golden the player. In our heyday, we had players who worked as hard as Al, but have 10 times the talent. Without the talent, the hard work is just a star on a piece of paper that your mommy put up on the fridge.

The culture is what it is. Progress. Look at Hoke and Muschamp, then look at Golden. Florida and Michigan are examples of regression. We have gotten better, they have gotten worse. Pick which you'd rather have.

Who said we have good coaches? Have you ever coaches anything before? Things I asked myself after reading your post. **** near everybody put 500 yards on us. As far as offers, so what, where were they and where were we during the ACCCG?

The problem is obvious with this team, it's coaching. Sad thing is, nobody is beating down the door here to coach here. AG is what we got. And for who he is, I think he is doing his best. If a better candidate comes up, I'm all ears, until then, I stand with The U.

A favorable schedule gave us 9 wins but the way we lost the 4 proved how below average we are....this so called process doesn't make it acceptable to get smacked by DUKE....Jabari Parker prob would've caught a TD on us.

I disagree with the bolded statement. I do not feel we have gotten any better. If so, marginally.

Winning 9 games with our schedule is nothing to beat your chest over, particularly when we played a schedule like ours.

Just because we improved from 7-5 does not mean we've made real progress. We essentially traded games against KSU, ND, and Bethune for inferior opponents like FAU, UF, and Savannah State. We were going to win more games regardless of whether or not actual progress was made based on our strength of schedule.

Moreover, we returned a bunch of starters and really regressed (particularly on defense) as the year progressed. It's very discouraging and personally, I didn't see enough improvement to be encouraged for what the future holds with this staff.

My post game statement would be:
"We sucked today, sucks for the seniors to go out this way and I want to thank them for their service.....I am going evaluate every aspect of this program in the coming days and make ALL the necessary changes, I WILL turn this thing around!!! 9 wins is good but it is unacceptable here, we will win a title....any question because I have a flight to catch?"

Pretty solid right there! It does one very important thing: ACKNOWLEDGE THE FAN BASE AND LET US KNOW THAT 9 WINS IS UNACCEPTABLE

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Losing is one thing, I'd be mad with a loss. This wasn't a loss. This was pure domination. They were not prepared for their first bowl game in 3 years, the first many of those kids have ever played in, against a team littered with FL talent that should be here. If they aren't up for that game, they will never be up for a game. If a few key missed blocks and a few drops led to the loss, it would hurt, but at least then we could say we competed. We did not compete. They were so ill prepared I legitimately want to know what Girlden did for the past 4 weeks. Did they eat candy and practice on NCAA 2014? The first 4th down attempt was all I needed to know. The entire O-line, one of the most supposedly talented groups, got blown 4 yards off the ball and Crawford got CRUSHED for like a 7 yard loss. First bowl game in 3 years. Let that sink in.

I expect more than that, and all of you should too.

Did we really improve is the question? Maybe by record, but last year we played Notre Dame and Kansas State which were 2 top ten teams that we didn't play this year. Sure we played a good Florida team and that was really the only bright spot of the year but all the other teams we beat were not much to brag about. Look at the stats, the defense either got worse or remained the same at best and the offense by far regressed so did we really improve?

Now, and most importantly. NO ONE has said to not Stand with The U! In fact, ANYONE WHO DOESN'T STAND WITH THE U SHOULD REALLY GET OUT AND NOT AFFILIATE WITH IS ANYMORE! But as the most passionate fans behind the U we demand the best from our team and our staff isn't the best and that is ok because one team can only have the best staff, BUT when you flat out insult is with lackluster play consistently and your team and you lead with a lack of heart or care, then get out! You get paid way too much to do a mediocre job and insult us with you apathetic and laid back cool dude approach. Everything is not ok, so stop acting like it is and play with urgency and heart. Those two intangibles were never a question when it came to our best teams in the past!
