"That's basically what they were saying the whole time, that they have one running back coming back plus Jalen Hurd, who's coming in," Powell offered. "He was just saying they need a game-changer on offense so that's why they're still recruiting me."

"Right now, I'm committed to Miami and I'm just trying to get through this next weekend and after this week we'll know." "Just the week is important, with the coaches coming by and they let you know they care about you. That's what's important to me and it shows the school cares about you," Powell said. "They understood that it's coming down to the end, that I have a tough decision to make. I didn't have to tell them much, they already knew what was going on with me," Powell said.

really doesn't sound that bad to me, especially considering that the article comes from a UT site. I think he'll be firmed up after next weekend

As Pete said.. he delayed it after a good visit.

How is that bad? It would seem he was set to announce for OSU, and now has second thoughts on Miami.

We all thought Dixon was a lock, today we learned he was not. Time to close.

How do you know it was a good visit? Maybe he planned to announce for UM today, but the visit gave him second thoughts. Bottom line: We are clueless on this dude.

Perhaps, Dixon thought everyone was clued in that he was going to pick UM today and that it was a done deal, so in an effort to create more drama he delayed the announcement. We just don't know.

Not seeing that at all. Powell sounds like he wants to be wanted. And, right now, it sounds like UT is putting the full court press on him, and we need to match their intensity this week to lock him in.

Over/Under on Cook not announcing next week and drawing this out all the way past the New Year? Im gonna go with the over......
 
Thanks, Pete. So what changed with TR? For the longest time, neither side was talking much to the other and now we're hot and heavy?

UT fans had ton of vitriol for Powell when he flipped. Regardless, I hope he is willing to play D in case Cook ends up here.
 
Do not want to lose powell...we should be good though as long as hurdle keeps him feeling he's needed

we have a great class now. It could be an epic class if all the cards fall right. Either way, it's been a good recruiting season for us.
 
I don't think Cook can drag it out too long. Isn't he an EE? I imagine he has to get some sort of paper work going sooner rather than later with the Spring semester coming up.
 
FSU friend said Cook Isn't announcing next weekend. Maybe he is waiting to see who Florida hires at OC. The crazy recruiting is really starting to heat up.
