I don’t understand why someone couldn’t sign early. It’s not the same as enrolling early. Two completely different things. Why would a school have a policy against a student signing early? Honestly, that’s a violation of the student’s constitutional rights.

Really? So worse than being born with a clef lip and doctors telling my parents I would always be developmentally delayed all my life and would have every speech problem under the sun? Oh and I also have severe ADHD on the anxiety spectrum and would have legitimate panic attacks about taking a simple math test when I was a kid. The only benefit I had was my mom being a speech pathologist and catching me up on my development but still had a plethora of speech problems. I know for a fact very few were as bad as me.

This isn't news to us. We all knew you had a learning disability.

Is that really school policy, even now? This is the very first year with early signing.

I don’t care that they’re a private school. A private entity cannot interfere with you executing an agreement between yourself another party that has nothing to do with the school. I think the only leverage Aquinas would have is just to pressure the students to sign on the Feb date, or they could threaten expulsion since it’s a private school, but if sued, they’d lose.

Why couldn’t they have two signing dates. One in Dec and in in Feb. I mean they have signing dates throughout the year for other sports.

This is making zero sense to me. Where does it say you can’t sign early at Aquinas. What’s the source?

The constitutional right to sign whatever contract you fūcking well please. Jesus, what actual right do they have to prevent someone from signing an agreement that they’re not a party to? That’s like me telling you you can’t sign you’re next employment agreement because I’m the guy that provides your coffee, they provide the kids education as a private service.

Not necessarily. It depends on the actual problem he has and since he’s a normal guy he most likely has ADHD, ADD, or Dyslexia which in those cases he just needs extra time to finish class work assignments and fully comprehend the material. That doesn’t even mean that he’s dumber than everybody..he either doesn’t comprehend the material because he essentially reads everything backwards or he can’t maintain focus on the task at hand. That’s why they get the extra time.

Kids can have more credits than others because they might’ve taken a course in middle school that goes your high school diploma like typing or foreign language. Some of these kids might have more than enough credits to graduate but not what they need to qualify to start the admission process. For example, when I graduated in 2013 you were required to take economics and American government your senior. I had enough credits to graduate early but I didn’t have economics or government so I couldn’t.
