I don't think Wyche will make it. Don't know on Heurtelou. Doubt there will be only 2 DTs in the class though. They will get someone else.

Not for him our us. He already is screwed here. He leaves he has a fresh start. Penn State doesn't recruit South Florida. He'd be fine. Win, Win. Alot of recruits have stated they would stay if he left anyway. I'll take the competent coach over a recruiting class any day.

Also heard anything about the FSU commits? They both have size (which we need) and were picked up by Odell a guy I trust at finding elite DTs. I heard from my FSU friend that they wanted to grey shirt one of them because of space issues. Any chance at offering him a full ride to make him reconsider. (can't remember which one out of these two)

Doesn't matter dude, they are getting merked in the 4th quarter of recruiting AGAIN. Yeah we got a solid base but you got to add to it. You can't fail to land even a SINGLE guy out of: Cook, Lane, Rudolph, Jackson, Valentine, Griffin. That's straight up ****.

Griffin appears to be grades, staff can't be blamed for that one. The others, agree. You would think we close on at least one. Cook and Lane seemed like the least likely as with Yearby, Powell, and Duke, would it make sense for a back to come in with that or go to FSU where Freeman and Philips will be gone sooner?

PT had what is on the roster also plays into it, so Cook not coming has that angle, and Lane's reach around on Cook level is epic. Never seen anything like it.

I think one name that should be added to the miss list is Sony also.

I actually think our RB depth is worse than FSU's. Even if Freeman and Wilder go pro. K Williams. M.Pender and R. Green are already there. Every school in the country wanted all three of those guys. Duke and Yearby r the only 2 backs we have that fit into that category. Powell is a great back but his offer sheet doesn't look like those other 5 guys sheets do/did.

I believe the FSU recruit you're talking about grey shirting is Arthur Willams. I only think this because FSU fans weren't that high on him. Also the whole "I trust Odell can find Elite DT's" thing is kinda dumb. Is he good at recruiting Elite DT's? **** yeah. But you don't really "find" a 5-Star tackle.

We are slowly heading towards a meltdown not seen around these parts, probably ever. Recruiting is about up and downs and we are due for about a month's worth of good news, we can't repeat what happened last year.

WTF are you talking about? TV is the only one that decommitted. And from what Pete and the Herald says hes gonna jump back on board. He's the only recruit we've lost since anyone called this a great class. Chill the **** out dude. Some of you guys act like we just had 15 kids decommit

Pete didn't say he was coming back. He said its possible but suggested that it would be an uphill climb and that at least in part, kid was using Golden as an excuse. It's not at all clear he is coming back. That would be a terrible blow if they can't reel him in, it would cast a pall on signing day no matter what else happened just like 6 last year.

He could do RB by committee at Miami. He wouldn't be run into the ground next year. Duke was all we had this year. Next year none of our RBs will be run into the ground. He wouldn't be run into the ground at either school.

He lands elite DTs because he finds them before anyone else and develops relationships with them. Going through the guys he has gotten drafted in last 10 years.

2008- Fluellen (3*) Guion (Unranked no other offers)
2006- Bunkley (low 4*)
2005- Johnson (5*)
2004- Dockett (5*)

I want a guy that is strong & big if we can't get highly sought after guys. Both Torres & Williams are huge. If FSU is grey shirting a guy that we have a legit OFFER out for we need to get that guy or that is a slap in the face to our program. Looking at their 247 profiles USCe is after Williams so not sure if we can pull that off if they want him and FSU doesn't. Torres though is a instate kid that is big & quick twitched from film, if FSU isn't 100% in after him we should be.

Uhhhh, WTF are you talking about. Pete sais on page 4 of this thread that it will be a 'tough' battle to get him back, Wyche probably won't make it and there is something holding up Heurtelou. I'm not acting like 15 kids decommitted but I'm am concerned that once again DT recruiting has taken a turn for the worse.

If cook was here we would have a committee of him duke yearby Gus and Powell. Isn't that big enough for him??

Why? Because Golden is an incompetent loser. His complete incompetence in terms of recruiting DT's literally defies description.

How in the **** can this imbecil manage to lose the most talented and crucial commit at DT? How could this fraud go three days without returning Valentine's and other recruits phone calls.

How does this administration put up with such egregiously gross negligence and deriliction of his duties as the head coach here?

The bottom line is we are losing Valentine because Fat Albert was too busy flirting with Ped state to actually do the job he is being paid for.

And even if that was just an excuse by Valentine to decommit it still does not excuse Golden and it boils down to Big Fat Al Tin losing another crucial recruiting battle.

I've seen enough and I'm sure it won't be long before the targets in the class of 2015 and 2016 do too.

He knows he has been unmasked by the fans here and he thought he could get out to PUS where they won't have any expectations anytime soon. He knows there is no more NCAA to hide behind and he knows that he is incapable of delevering the goods. That is why he seems so stressed.
