I REFUSE to get excited. Expect the worst, hope for the best. With the way this season ended, and our current situation with the coaching staff being basically a lame duck, if we held on to Scarlett and Walton, I would literally do BACK FLIPS. It would be about as GOOD as we could possible dream of getting come NLOID.

We so desperately need those guys in the back field. That is the future that we can build on, for whatever the next staff that comes in, will have some real talent to build with. This is what we need now. To just get as much talent as we can, to build for the future.

no one told you to be excited. Peter is merely reporting "news."
 
If signing day were today, I'd expect Scarlett, Marcus Lewis, Barry, Shireff, Fred Johnson to sign with UM. I'd also expect to not sign Gosier, Chatman and St. Louis.

It's going to be fun down the stretch! Enjoy the commits, decommits, rumors, etc...

Pete and other outlets already said that St Louis was onboard officially. (THANK GOD) But I agree on Gosier and Chatman. Things have been too quiet. Don't expect them here. I don't expect Berry either.

Agree on Lewis, Scarlett, and FJohnson. I also think we offer Fenton at the last possible second and he tells us to F off. I think Norton is 50/50.
 
UF class is horrible they have 8 low 3 star recruits and haven't got one commitment yet since the new coach has been hired lol whats going on over there?

hopefully this class screws them up for years to come. I predict a losing season for them next year.

Maybe because Brad Kaaya is our top recruiter at the moment...

He may be one of the the top reasons a recruit commits to Miami, but he isn't the top recruiter. I'm guessing all the trips and meetings the coaching staff attend don't do anything to help recruiting...

They are blowing their wad this coming weekend. HUGE weekend for them. My hope is that the recruits dont commit on a whim if one or two do and they get some odd momentum going. They have a lot of new chrystal balls going their way.

I certainly hope one of our players isn't the top recruiter over coaches being paid 6 digits to recruit players professionally

Reading between the lines of last weekend's big group of visitors, it seemed to me that a lot of the kids (even some of the commits) were anxious to get in town/on campus just to see what all the brouhaha is about. The negativity, rumors, fan base anger, etc. are clearly an issue, as is the 6-7 finish. I think it was guys like Chad Thomas and Brad Kaaya who were able to talk some of these guys off of the ledge a bit. That's why I say he's our best recruiter right now.

That message was best delivered by another player and not a story from the coaching who are recruiting them.

Great stuff Pete. Real Canes fans want the best recruits possible. The so called fans telling recruits to go way need to go away.
