Will he be as good as smith? I doubt it but who knows.
Sam Bruce will be better than Steve Smith

Good postWhat I like - he's fearless, attacks the ball, goes over the middle, has big hands.
What I don't like - He looks like too much of a strider sometimes, even though he's small, and the way he runs in the open field. A lot of times he'll come to complete stops to let the defender go by, cuts laterally or backwards, jumps, or spins. All that stops your forward momentum. It looks great, but it doesn't lead to any extra yardage. It's something you can get away with at the High School level, but not in College. Bruce is more start and stop quickness vs. quickness in changing directions while moving forward. This is why I think his ceiling is limited.

I disagree on the basis that Duke Johnson did the same thing in high school, and he didn't suffer or seem to lose yardage when he tried the same things in college...also it won't make as Much of a difference for Bruce being that his job is to get space and catch the ball..if he wins the battle against the DB and finishes the play he will be great. He does that...all we need to know now is can he do those things against D-1 DB's consistently or enough on plays where it matters
Great video. Love the music man[TWEET]692137278119006208[/TWEET]
I haven't paid much attention to him because Al has me conditioned just losing his sort anyway. Now that we might actually keep him, I watched. Wow. Kid is old Cane. Kaaya and him together for two years with a real QB coach(Mark not his baby boy) are going to be eyepoping. Only negative I saw was carrying the ball a little exposed, but who cares.
NO AL does not have you conditioned. You just have a loser's mind sight and that is the first step in anything in life is to acknowledge the problem. Winners and people who are doing well in life are not worried about what could and should have been.
might be a stupid question I dont know as much about these recruits as some of you but is he any relation to the great Isaac Bruce that played for the Rams?

His nephew.
Steve Smith ran a 4.41 at 5-9, 184, with a 1.51 10- yard shuttle, 10'1" broad jump, 38.5" vertical, 4.25 short-shuttle, and 7.44 3-cone. I hope he fell down, broke a leg, and then dragged himself across the finish line on that 3-cone, which ranked 249th out of 252 WR's to run it since 1999. Jarvis Landry actually the worst time at 7.55.
That broad jump is pretty pedestrian as well, as he finished tied for 187th out of 252 WR's since 1999. His vertical was good- tied for 37th. That short shuttle was tied for 225th out of 252 WR's.
The idea that Steve Smith was a great athlete is false. He's an outlier in strength, toughness, competitiveness, and sheer will.

You have excellent powers of observation. Sad but true, I just must have a loser's mindset(I think you meant). I tired desperately to overcome it by getting my Doctorate at age 24, doing M&A on Wall Street immediately, arguing before the US Supreme Court by 27, representing members of royal families of Iran and Saudi Arabia, marrying a model, have 4 kids and 15 grand-kids, traveling for years on G -2s, 3s, &4s. But eventually I just gave into it. Now I just contract my services to a top 20 company assisting with it's 40 to 60 acquisitions each year, cruising and gambling my remaining years away. Life is a ***** and it was hard to accept, but I have come to grips with it. I will just have to live with the regret of not being more like you. Have you had that first date with a actual girl yet?
