The Truth

Even if we had Teddy Bridgewater we would have fallen short, we lack the numbers. We have 3 receivers and on is a freshman that has been up and down and yes I say Coley has not shown he is a solid playmaker. He looks like he has potential but he hasn't done it yet. Right now we are short 10 scholarship players and then through in the injuries.

We wouldn't be so questioned if we had Bridgewater (and I don't think he's THAT good).

Coley was open deep twice last night. As in, if he's hit in stride it's a TD. Morris missed both badly. Granted the flip side is that Morris made a TD throw to Hurns that few can make.

What would be different is that the GT/UNC/Wake games wouldn't have been close. We'd have experienced a Clemson tumble in the rankings, rather than the one we're going to witness today.

2, 3 and 4 are all questionable.

Coley and Dorsett aren't playmakers?

Morris is hurt.

There were a few screens called and it's hard to do a roll out when your QB is playing on one leg.
Lulz at Coley isn't a playmaker. Get the ball in his ****** hands and he can do damage, over or under throw him and he can't do ****. Dorsett was missed yesterday

I want someone to give me evidence that D No is gonna turn this around. Please if he gets better players are we going to stop playing all this zone that gets eaten up? where I the proof?

We need a guy like Freeman, can't believe we let him get away???

jk/he need's to STFU will all this Miami didn't recruit me BS, and F-him for flashing the U at our bench, butthurt ******.

Freeman and Duke were high school friends. I heard he was upset after Dukes injury.
Losing Freeman probably lost us this game IMO

not having a true DL cost us this game. couldn't get pressure and couldn't make a stop.

When we get a more talented and athletic front seven, d no will be able to do a lot more. Look what he's working with. The cupboard is fairly bare right now. We got some studs coming in, if things aren't different across the board in 2015, then it's time for concern. Look, FSU went through this in Jumbo's first few years. Remember when they went out to Oklahoma? Gotta keep stockpiling the talent then the coaches will look like geniuses.

1. Miami is a much improved team, but still laks numbers. Example FSU has 3 experienced RBs we "had" one.
We lack "ringers" to go with Duke. Crawford is still developing. Not sure what his real ceiling is. Guess we will be finding out the rest of the season. I am not a huge fan of leaning on Freshman (other than an Adrian Peterson type).

2. We lack playmakers, look at the 4-5 star playmakers for FSU they have five star Wilder, Winston, and O'leary not o mention their 4 star studs. We "had" duke.
We have some playmakers. However we lack the most important one, QB. Morris is the same as he always was average. The fact he avoids the middle of the field and cannot seem to find a way to put touch on the ball. What's with the 100 mph fastball to receivers less than 10 yards away.

3. Morris has regressed under Coley, I am not sure if it is the injury or the coaching but he is hot garbage.
Started explaining above. I do not think it is coaching. I think the injury has had some effect. But I think most of it is he has trouble going through progressions and reading the defense post snap.

4. Our offensive play calling is non-creative and predictable. No screens, role outs, etc.
I call BS on this. Coley has adjusted what he was calling. I see an *** load of power running now as opposed to earlier in the year. Screens, have seen how poorly Morris throws this on top of selling it. Some of this is likely ankle since he has trouble back pedaling. The other is the complete lack of touch on short to mid range. Not to mention he throws it in there anyway instead of safely getting rid of it. Role outs, go back and watch last nights game again. We called them. Particularly until Morris hurt himself running out of bounds right before the second touchdown in the 2nd quarter. If Morris could hit the short and intermediate stuff at the pace of an above average QB, we would have throttled everyone so far and been able to hold our own last night. The QB is by far and away the most important piece of the offense. That position is what allows the OC the flexibility (or as many call it creative and non-predictable) to call an assortment of plays. My guess is Coley is guilty of falling in love with Morris' arm. A QB with the ability to throw a 75 yard rope is addictive as crack cocaine.

5. Defense we need to get some players up front to get some pressure with our front four.
Agree wholeheartedly with this. Once we can do this we will be able to gain plenty of flexibility in running man and zone concepts behind a stout front four.

6. We need a big back to help Duke next year.
I think we have one in Gus. But he needs a year in the conditioning program and some coaching so he does not run too high. Needs to get his pad level down. We are not where we should be here. Everyone says different cause of Duke. But we are missing another stud or two to be mixed in with the above average talent.

Patience at this point is going to be difficult to come by based upon we have been winning all the close games here lately. Develope a QB and keep adding to the pass rush, we will turn the corner.

This team is much improved under Golden but we don't have the numbers, we need a couple of more classes. I can't grade coach D until we get the players up front to get pressure but it is much better than last year.

****, didnt UF straight up punch FSU in the mouth last year? A lot can change from year to year. 2015 will be the year in which either BK or GO will have a year under their belt. We may lose some juniors to the NFL that year, including lockdown TH and DJ, but we should be working on all cylinders by then.

There are so many reasons we lost the game, the foremost is the fact that F$SWho has much better players. The pointing fingers, stating the obvious and generally looking for fault, should be tempered, we should not forget how lousy we were for a long time and the facts and circumstances of the NCAA bullshyt.

Not many schools have what we own in NC's. As we all should know based on our deep passion to get there again, IT TAKES TIME to recruit the talent and then develop it and at that point it would be fair evaluate the coaches. I have noticed the love or hate for the coaches changes week to week for many.

Beating up on kids who are most likely trying their best after busting their butts is not going to make them any better and taking out our frustrations with some of things posters say is wrong, they are Canes.

Being 7-1 with a chance for a Coastal Championship, VT next week and a top 3 recruiting class would have been signed on for by most a year ago, IMO.
