Beyond the obvious coaching issues... I think this is something everyone of our failed coaches has had to deal with and failed to fix.
For some reason our players get convinced that they are above doing the dirty work.
Everyone wants ro get upfield but nobody wants to take on a block..JMO

Because they have done a **** job recruiting QBs and it's easier to lie than admit fault. Could you imagine them admitting hey we've been here 3 years but Jacurri, Emory and Judd all were terrible evals and our only hope is the portal AGAIN.

Look. I’m *** ****ed off as the rest of us. It’s embarrassing how this ended and honestly you could see it coming since the VT game. It’s exactly my I bet my UF friend $50 Miami would make the playoffs because if figured the defense would be too much to overcome. Mario has to get this right or he’s done. He won’t get another HC job again worth a ****. Whether he knows that or not remains to be seen.,-
 
Defense.

Amazing like you said that we are in the last game of the season and defensive players STILL can’t line up and don’t understand their assignments.

I’m not a coaching savant like some but nothing we run looks too exotic but simplify that **** should have happened earlier in the season….

Also what happened to the pass rush?? Bain? Baron? Alston who was a dude at marshal. Light foot who looked like a star in his all star game completely M.I.A after week 3. A lot of money is tied up there and did nothing to help an already **** secondary

With Damari and Bain you just gotta give them that full offseason to rehab w/e is wrong with them and get back to form for next season
 
This is the culture boys. The story of the season summed up in one game.

Poor coaching. Poor fundamentals. Poor discipline. Basically being seasoned and bailed out by a QB playing his last college ball and everything being exposed afterwards once that QB got taken out. Winning a top 20 ranked Bowl Game? Nah, put the backup in where everyone knows that he can't complete a pass post 10 yards.

There's nothing to sugarcoat here, we're going into year 4 and the floor for that season are 10 wins. If he doesn't reach that, we can consider the project Mario to be failed and ride this program into its sunset, cause there **** sure won't be any success happening afterwards.

If you go back to the Rutgers loss, I recall everybody freaking about that one too. We didn't have a QB1 or a RB1 with Fletcher going down. We did think our defense would be fine and they took 10 steps backwards.

You know what I felt better about this team after the spring portal 2024. This should be revisit once the portal windows close down. Right now I have major concerns cause we gotta rebuild the defense and offense
