The Quarterback Breakdown: Tyler Van Dyke

If TVD turns out to be a legit QB...

is that enough? All our good teams had top QBs. No teams without a top QB have been nationally relevant at UM.

Our RB talent is first rate. TEs very good. Decent WR options. Not great or proven, but Wiggins, Harley, Payton, Pope, Redding...

If we had a good OL and attacking system in ‘21, we’d probably cause problems. We won’t, of course. Sadly.

Manny needs a new staff and some of his dads compadres to help with the incentive program.

Color me impressed. Tyler Van Dyke is a 6'4" 212 pound prototypical gunslinger dynamo who has the athleticism of a three sport star and the quarterbacking refinement to boot. I compiled 18 narrated clips so you could get a feel for his game. I will remind the CanesinSight faithful that after his junior year I gave Van Dyke a Roman Rank of a low 4 star. After his senior year? Stock up!

Immediately upon watching his senior campaign I noticed a back away from center and a much more wide open spread offense. His offensive coordinator had widen splits along the perimeter and in this capacity Van Dyke's arm talent shined. He also showed the athleticism and escapability to extend and make plays. When you consider and take his testing numbers into consideration (Lance Roffers) you definitely have a kid capable of making plays with his arm and feet.

There is also bold claim in this video in terms of his arm strength you will not want to miss. So sit back, grab some popcorn and get to know your incoming QB. Quarterback breakdown series is on the big screen. (unless you are watching it from your phone)

Can we also recruit the OC from this HS in place of Penos??

Are y’all butt buddies now?

😂
Everyone calls on me now to take out the trash.

My GAWD man, you actually wedge the phrase "ray of sunshine" into your analysis. Well done.

So after 12 regular games this staff still can’t evaluate who the starter is between Williams and Perry, now will decide to let the 3rd guy, Martel start in the bowl game? Now we throw TVD out there in the spring?
The problem I see is these idiots can’t even evaluate talent much less coach these kids. If there are no staff changes, expect maybe 6-6 next year if we’re lucky. Remember this excuse for next year, we’re young, very young and we we have a lot of young kids who were playing HS football 12 months earlier on the field.

Looking like Sam Darnold too me. A athletic strong arm pro style QB. Way stronger arm than Jarren and can attack parts of the field even when not on schedule that jarren can’t. If jarren gets better with his anticipation he can make all throws..but this kid right here..**** the rating system, he is the best QB prospect we’ve had in a while...I’ll say this, he gonna run somebody (**Kosi Hive) off to another program

Looks like he has the talent to run off one of the qb's currently on the roster. Hope this kid is as legit in the film room/preparation aspect of the game cuz if he is I wouldn't be shocked if hr becomes the starter.
