The Point of No Return

I wonder if Al even realizes that the fanbase has turned on him (if he comes back....obviously doesn't matter if he leaves).

The administration needs to realize this fact, and make the move for a new HC. Even if things fall through up in PA.

Actually, Al turned on the the players, recruits, the UM and its fanbase. He checked out. A man of integrity would leave with or without the PUS job.

So if al stays and replaces Coach D??

I would think Al is a moron for the situation with regards to recruiting and ignoring his players but if he hires a DC with an ultra aggressive approach who completely changes the scheme (which has no chance of happening) I could live with it

Lulz

You think his current players are going to put much effort into Al's way if he returns?

You think kids that we will be after next season will be buying his ****?

Teams will use this all day long in recruiting on guys that are on the fence.

The only good recruits we would land. Would be the ones that don't care about the coach.

Al has to go no matter what.

because he interviewed for his dream job? really?

He didn't just interview, he went all in. To use Franchise's analogy, what if your wife made a play for her dream man and her dream man rejected her, would you take her back? The answer is no unless you are a cuckolded loser. Al has lost all credibility with the players, recruits and fans. Why should a recruit want to come to UM when it's clear that Al doesn't want to be at UM?

If he didnt lose the team down the stretch, or after the bowl game, he lost it now when the story broke...to those that say nothings here, this is not charlie strong leaving louisville on a good note after pledging his loyalty even if his dream job came calling...this is al sitting on the fence feeling some internal locker room strife...he could have crushed the doubt and did what was right for the TEAM and locker room but he did the EXACT opposite by going...trust the process? you mean YOUR agenda, er process?

when did he do all that.....?

He did it over the last several days by interviewing for the PUS job and not issuing a statement that he wasn't interested in the PUS job.

What if her dream man made a play for her, and she said no thanks? We're making tons of assumptions, based on nothing. We're acting like the only way golden comes back is if PSU decides to not hire him. What if turns down the job? That's still a possibility.

Of course it's still a possibility. It's also still possible that I will beat Usain Bolt in a sprint, but it's not very likely.

If Al didn't want the job, he would have told PUS that he wasn't interested and tamped out the speculation with a statement that he didn't want the job. He has a smartphone, so I'm certain he could have accomplished that if it was the case. He didn't do that. Why didn't he do that?

Only issue i have with that---he HASNT said no thanks...he not only has gone AWOL but he interviewed and STILL hasnt talked---in the court of public opinion u r usually guilty until proven innocent...as good a salesman as he is theres no way he can spin this in his favor if he comes back...nobody is going to believe he turned them down, he wouldnt have stayed silent this long if he didnt want the job...the fact he is actually this dumb amazes me...if psu doesnt offer him he is completely fvcked here, which is why i really believe they must ha e already told him the job is his, just a matter of time. The funny part is who's to say psu doesnt change their mind like, say, keef or one of these other recruits that completely played his fat ***? Dude didnt learn with them now hes potentially settin himself up to get burnt fuh reeeeeeeal.

The fact IS, Golden interviewed for the job. Whether or not he accepted or was even OFFERED the job isn't the issue. It's the fact that he flirted with the idea of leaving.

You'd take that woman back, having went out with another man, to decide if she was going to leave you?

So y'all dont think he's fcking around now trying to get us to fire him and pay his buyout?

At this point, I think he's breached. Fire his fat *** and dare him to sue for damages.

No he didn't. Glazier did. Golden must've realized the issues with the NCAA's evidence too, right?

So, how would you guys feel if not only was he back....but this resulted in a raise?

If Al is back, at this point, I will be highly disappointed and we will be stuck with him until 2020.
