I think we should use Williams to run the triple option
Mentioned it while I was sitting there at the game. Kinda a curious time to bring it out. Like a "hey, Video Coordinator guy, put this on your log." There wasn't really any other reason to bring it out at that time and run what we ran out of it.
I keep telling myself that Coley has a whole bunch of **** in his bag that was supposed to come out vs UF, but was left in there in the hopes of conservatively slugging one out.
If those rumors are true that we held back our offense vs. UF so it wouldn't be on film for later opponents, wouldn't that imply that this staff placed more importance on the ACC schedule (FSU, specifically) more so than an OOC game against UF? That's possible but curious because of the recruiting impact that a win against UF could (will) have.
I don't think they purposely did it. I think that's the way the game worked out. Our OLine was getting worked, Morris looked shaky and our defense was keeping us in the game. This is what I'm telling myself: we didn't open it up because we apparently thought keeping it basic would give us the best chance to win that game...and we won.

I think that game was like playing blackjack in Vegas. UF (the dealer) was shaky on offense (showing a 6). We were having our issues as well (with a 13). Golden elected to stay on 13 and let the dealer bust. In other words, we sat tight, played conservative, no turnover, low risk football, and let our defense, who were playing like demons, force UF into making the mistakes.
