He didn't hit the lottery twice.

He had the # 1 overall seed in 1999 and the # 2 overall seed in 2001.

Therefore totally predictable that they would have won.

Either the CWS is random or it isn't. No one on earth waits to see a result to decide if it was random or not. Good lord. What an awful understanding of the concept.

What was our excuse as the number 3 seed? We should have made the finals this year since being a national seed is so predictable.

It depends, apparently. If a national seed wins, then winning the CWS as a national seed is predictable. If a national seed loses, then the CWS is random. But we wait until all the games are played to determine if an event was PREdictable. You read that correctly.
