Yeah, no one uses the word "fluent" to describe route running...
Canes since birth is actually right on this. While the word fluent is mostly used to describe level of mastery over a language, it is limited lted to that context. Fluent is also means "Capable of moving with ease and grace." It can also be mean "Mastery of a skill".
I am aware that its definition is also applicable to things other than language but my point was that it is rarely (I've never heard it) used in the context of the route running ability of a wide receiver. The most often used terminology by people within football is "fluid" route runner.
I have heard it plenty, maybe you heard it thinking they said fluid and vice versa
