The Opening - Frisco

What's a counterfeit one? Asking for myself.

Man; it’s one that uses some bull chit asada steak, v. flank or thin trimmed ribeye (and u’ll know it b/c asada steak doesn’t hold the flavors like ribeye does.)

It’s one that be having a mutha f’in French bagguet v. a crisp sourdough roll.

It’s one that is dry as a mutha f’er when it’s in a brown paper bag, v. me seein that bih through a brown paper bag b/c it’s so greezy!

It’s one that has provolone cheese v. White American Cheese!

My fault for venting; lol. Being in Cali, I’ve had many counterfeit cheese steaks. There’s this one spot up in the Bay that makes a legit one, and that’s b/c old head is from Philly.

Don’t get me wrong, them chits be good too, but once u had a So. Philly Cheese Steak, u can’t go back.

Dude I agree with you 99% of the time. But to me Philly steaks are overrated AF. If I were didn't know which is which I legit can't tell the difference between one of the "famous" places and the local Greek diner. Much better but same concept is an Italian Beef with provolone and giardiniera.

Basically in the sandwich game go to an Italian or ****** deli that's been around for a while and you'll be in good shape.

Go to the freezer aisle and get steak umms then get some fresh bell peppers onions to grill at the same time use lawrys seasoning salt with a dash of cumin and paprika add a little minced garlic then throw the white American cheese on top of the lather the hoagie bread with butter on one side and mayo on the other...

Thank me later

It's called mom's famous cheese steak you know the one where you see vendors cooking it on the side of the road and mom says wait until we get home 😢

Can't go wrong with it buddy and your right they all taste the same 🤣🤣🤣

Oh trust me; if I’m messing w a sandwich, sandwich, I’m definitely hitting up an Italian or ****** deli. That’s one of the things I miss about So Cal; there was a ****** deli on every corner in the West LA/Brentwood/Beverly Hills area. I can’t even imagine them joints in the NY!

But when u taste a hot, melty Philly Cheese Steak, where that flavor hits the back of ur salivary glands; boy, that sets u right for that day. But I can’t eat that daily like I can w a top notch Italian or ****** sandwich spot.

Aight; I’ll be honest...I posted the Philly Cheese Steak joint b/c I had one in my lap while catching up on the threads. Lol.
