NFL The official Miami Dolphins Offseason Thread

Phins are horrible. Time to fire the GM and blow it up. Trade Hill, Tua, Ramsey, Campbell, Mostert before the deadline at minimum. Consider trading Phillips, Chubb, and Holland. Cut/trade Armstead. Time to start over with Waddle, Achane, and whoever else valuable enough that is left.

Draft a freaking OL/DL/LB/TE and forget about the flashy skilled guys and QB at first (unless they can get Cam). Stop drafting/signing talented but injury prone guys!

I asked people in the offseason to name a position group where we improved. No one could tell me

Or…

Just get a good QB who doesn’t have a history of recurring concussions.

On paper, it was tight end. But even that hasn’t panned out. Jonnu has been invisible and Smythe has disappeared. The only TE I ever notice is Hill getting penalized

I would have traded back multiple times...this year and the following year. Objective should be 10 to 12 picks each year.

As I've gotten older I have realized what a farce NFL seasons are - the rosters are simply too small compared to the length of a season. 53 active players plus 16 practice squad players (that can be signed away at any point by other teams). For a minimal 17 game season.

Colleges have 85 (for now) scholarship players, plus walk ons for a minimal 12 game season.

Most colleges carry between 8 to 12 wide receivers. Most NFL teams carry 4-5.

Most colleges carry 3-5 quarterbacks. Most NFL teams carry 2-3.

Injuries render any NFL team's annual outlook completely up to chance, due to lack of developed roster depth.
