The # Of Available Spots Left Going Into 2019 (Chart)...

So what happens to the IC when DJ Johnson transfers to Washington? Since he clearly counted for the 2017 class, doesn’t that mean we can apply one more of the early entrees back to 2017?

The only example of a kid that signed with Miami that may not count is Key Hester as I believe the counter starts at time of enrollment in class and he never enrolled but he did step foot on greentree from what I remember (1 day).

This is yet another reason to ignore the NOI as they don't use I.C. until a kid enrolls. Imagine I.C. getting used for kids that can't qualify.

malik curry was given a scholarship? not sure i remember reading that anywhere. he was still being referred to as a walk-on in articles this past fall. also, he's no longer listed on the 2018 roster. was there news of his transferring?

I guess he didn’t get a ship. If he didn’t, not concerned if he transfers. This just goes to show how hard it is to track ICs.

very difficult. no doubt ive missed one or two along the way. or possibly counted one that shouldnt. kiy Hester and latwaan anderson were both question marks for me. i believe hester practiced, so thats why he counts. walk-ons being granted scholarships are also kinda sketchy with tracking.

Yeah, I don't think Hester is a counter as he wasn't enrolled. The counters are for financial aid and that wasn't needed until late August or September.

latwaan anderson, didn't he come on a track ship? If so, he never played in a game so he does use an I.C.

Updated the 1st post with the transfers Derek mentioned. Been busy and havent read posts since then,...

Alot less I.C.s left, but still proud of the job Richt is doing with the class fairly wide-open for newcomers.

**Interestingly enough,...notice how all of our current I.C.'s have used up the signing slots we had left over from last year.
With the new rules in place,...we still have 15-16 signings left. Not sure how much that will matter until the beginning of Fall camp though, because if the 9? we've signed all enroll (it's 9, right?), we have 9 more I.C. spots we have to give b4 Fall.

TBH,...the place where they could truly matter is with kids we may end up striking out on. But we don't play those games here (as do other schools), so I'd imagine the extras will eventually die out.

As said before, both counts now roll over.

As I said,...I'm temporarily back into this to see if things can e be finalized till the Fall. My only source was 247Sports,...so their "commit" list can be taken with a grain of salt if we never officially recruited him, or deferred him a ship like the 2 kickers.

Media Guide:

Prior to Miami: Three-year varsity letterwinner in football and a
two-year varsity letterwinner in basketball...Earned All-District honors
as a junior and senior in both football and basketball..Spent the 2015
season at the University of New Mexico, but not compete.

So anyone with any final word on Malik? Because unless some more names I missed come up, that leaves us with 10 if all of our signings enroll.
