Banda was the best position coach we’ve had on defense in a decade. Mirabal is top 2-3 on offense in that time frame.

I can’t say I blame him if that’s the hold up… but it’s a total guess on my part nonetheless
as soon as Golden‘s departed Banda was getting bodied on the recruiting trial, and as good as Mirabal was at Oregon, I would trades him 100 times over for an elite OC

Realus George would eat in this offense
Jonathan Smith is a Peterson disciple. Last year he did pretty well with one OK QB (who got hurt) and one pretty bad QB.

But, it’s Smith’s O, not the OC’s.

Note: Smith was OSU’s QB under Dennis when they annihilated ND in the Fiesta Bowl.

Kevin Decker
Bryan Ellis
Mike Shanahan
Tino Sunseri

To **** with these retreads! Let’s take some risks!!!
nice pod with Decker

edit:
  • would label offense as “spread”
  • whether they throw it more or run it more is dictated by the defense
  • doesn’t run an “air raid” system, uses air raid principles (verticals)
  • goal of offense is to put players in space and allow them to make plays
  • 90% of offense is wide splits, will condense down but wants to live in wide splits
  • stresses to players to not overthink it, run fast and make full speed decisions, “you’re always right”
  • extremely simple, easy to learn. could explain entire offense in 30 minutes
  • receivers run choice routes

I was fixin to add that note! Smith has a pedigree.

So Notre Dame is broke and now we have Money?? To add to the irony even though we have money, just like their entire fanbase we can’t get laid in a $2 whorehouse with $100 in our pockets
Wait what?....whorehouses are $2?!?

Feel like I missed that memo.

Candle’s buyouts is less than half

I don't think Ludwig's buyout actually is expensive by P5 standards...

Ludwig's prior contract with Utah, a three-year deal, $2.5 million deal signed in 2019, reportedly included a $450,000 buyout provision

I have to Candle's is in the same ballpark. If ND really isn't willing to pay that to buy someone out of their contract based on the Thamel tweet, they're cheap as ****.

The Notre Dame OC search is competing with ours for the most bizarre lol.
