What about 20****ing18 when Burrow played and looked like he was doing something other than football after his college career was over?
The same could be said about TVD in 2022 while the year under Lashlee people were talking about a potential first round pick. So is Rhett Lashlee also a "special one" or was he competent and a good player succeeded in his system? So Burrow was in a terrible outdated system in 2018. Was put in a modern one with great talent around him and succeeded.

Burrow and those two WRs have proven to be able to thrive as long as there is some level of competency around them. What is Brady capable of when his offense doesn't have future All-Pros at WR and a perennial pro bowler at QB? Maybe he'll get another chance to show us.

Dude, Rhett Lashlee put up 34 in here with no offensive line, no run game and receivers who barely gave a **** to practice.

TVD is talented and Lashlee is really good. Brady is also really good and Burrow is talented. Its not hard.

Anyone who wouldn't be over the moon with a Brady hiring needs to stop huffing paint.
Brady aint coming here just like Johnson isn't. Both want to stay in the NFL. This is about what means more talent or scheme. And just because LSU was in the stone age for over a decade doesn't make Brady special. You telling me the guys Mike Gundy has hired over the years to run his offense wouldn't do the same things? If Ed O had stolen Ryan Day from Urban?

I don’t get how some people can discredit what he did there. Especially looking at their offenses all the way back to Les Miles. It was literally a joke around cfb. No matter how talented they were it was meh , caveman ball. Then Brady arrived.

There’s always going to be someone here who hates the choice.

I don’t think so. For me purgatory is for either reform, cooling off or potentially to disappear without a permaban. The most WEZ-like **** here goes on in Town Hall and Off Topic, the first of which I’d definitely close but either way, there are limits here - even on those forums - whereas I think WEZ lets Darwin determine things.

We’re not looking to replicate that. Our OT board exists to get off topic stuff off the sports boards. Our Town Hall board exists to get politics off of all the other boards.

Well thats the point now isn't it. Brady aint special. Talent + competency wins. And when you have supreme talents at WR and QB in college football you've got a shot to do something if your head coach isn't stuck in the past when it comes to offense.

The criticisms of Brady I have heard sound like the type of Xs and Os minutiae that matters more at the NFL level than at the college level. That he uses motion for the offense to determine zone/man but not enough as eye candy tricks for the defense to set up other plays, that he is too predictable, etc.

im so done, my entire comment went so far over your head...

nothing in their past pointed to them being supreme talents. urban meyer literally told burrow he throws like a girl. burrow then demonstrated his talent playing in an elite scheme that Cincinnati also uses. match made in heaven.

imagine tripling a personnel's production in almost everything and people say you aren't special and it was all the personnel and not the guy who installed a new scheme. un****ingreal.

Thats because he didn't run his system in the NFL.

right? like they don't remember his terrible play calling and booing the offense off the field at home games..
Yeah, so terrible, averaging 34 a game over two seasons with two different quarterbacks. So awful, he is so bad.

Moron...
