Last week i was like dam cant be another week right. Sure can. Probably soon though. Make the right choice Mario. I suffered enough last season sitting in the stands. I think it will be a home run like the DC. I think Mario is making extensive calls. Not just to people who knows the candidates, but people who played against them. Like i said he cant f this up. It would destroy recruiting and his CEO rep that already took a hit.

I didn't take it as a joke nor as calling out a bad joke.

My take is, @JHallCanes made an attempted humorous analogy of the current situation being more hyped up than what reality shows that it is. That being Mario sees Candle as a home run hire and everybody else seems him as, while an improvement from our current situation, definitely not a home run hire.

You posted some memes about bloop doubles.

@Ajcane8 pointed out the fact that a double is a double regardless of what it looks like.

You responded clarifying the stance that both you and @JHallCanes share of Candle being a disappointment compared to what the CiS board's (and Miami fans in general) expectation of what our OC should be (a home run such as "Mullen" or any number of other flashy and/or proven guys).

He responded that he will gladly take an RBI double (a hit that scores run/s) at this point. Assuming the fact that our situation was our former OC "Gatass" was a no-show stuck in a different city banging a recruits mom while the team desperately needed hits instead of the automatic outs that were attributed to "Gatass" At-bats.

My own take, I agree with both sides of this and see no one being at fault and instead a possible minor disagreement and/or misunderstanding.

No. Wasn't even really a joke. More of a bad metaphor.

That said, being a former baseball player, you should be well aware that Every. Single. Time. a Texas leaguer falls in, 6 guys on the bench yell "line drive in the book." All I was doing. Maybe that's a bad joke. That you felt some type of way about it is on you, not me. :sideeyes:

PS (and, @RVACane , I'll take the derail thread-ban, but this has to be said) Chiefs 34 - Iggles 14. I want all the Broad Street smoke. There are too many of youse proud Philly fans preening around these parts.

Not even getting my hopes up. The guy who wrote that is probably just throwing out names based on nothing but message board speculation and conjecture.

Maybe he placed a premium on certain other attributes that he didnt last season. Such as recruiting tenacity and chemistry of their personality. That all star so called staff was a dud when i thought they couldnt fail. We had 2 SEC DC on staff and they got roasted.
