The next three games are gonna be very interesting

USF will maybe challenge our secondary because their coach runs the Heupel Tennessee offense. They might honestly be the best offense we face all year.

Our ACC schedule is putrid. I know not to take wins for granted, but no-one on our schedule except maybe Louisville presents a challenge if we play smart turnover-free football and don't have catastrophic injuries.

Ok, I'm enthused. But, I need to know that that the ghosts of past are vanquished, and then I have to remember that football is a violent game. Until proved otherwise, I won't count on a UM victory against the likes of USF. Poor game-time coaching, player overconfidence, off-field distractions are things that have plagued the program for 20+ years. Nothing is a given, although Florida A&M is a sure win. Until I see a year's worth of a special combination of mental discipline coupled with football instincts by players, plus intelligent game-time coaching, I will ask if the optimism is warranted.

And then there is the game violence. Yeah, UM beats the likes of A&M, Ball State, and expectantly USF. But in any one of those games, key players can go down for the season. An odd step can blow out an Achilles. A cleat stuck in the turf can result in a knee injury. Yeah, UM wins these games, but if Cam goes down in this violent game, what happens to the high optimism? All I'm saying is, "stay real." Football is a game in which a team's fortunes can change in one play.

Stay loyal to the [[_]] and hope for the best.

These next 3 games is where having a dominant OL, DL AND QB..will be the huge difference. We will wear USF out. Bama had a trash QB situation when they played USF last year. Best believe Bama will remember that game on Sat. I fully expect a blowout and for them to lay the blueprint for Mario on how to beat them handily.

Games against the teams like FAMU and Bethune that we have on our schedule every year can tell you something if you pay attention. We've had many blowouts against those guys, yet there have been games against them when our O-line or D-line didn't get much push...and that became a recurring theme all year.

We have too many guys with long terms goals that are tied directly to on the field performance.

I expect minimal slippage.

And Mario Oregon teams usually handled their business vs lessor oppoents. I expect the same here.

This I remember a few times them stuffing us on 3rd and 1. And then it seemed like we didn’t convert a 3rd and 1 all season
