AG will be the first to tell you that we haven't done anything significant yet and we have a long way to go. But, unless you are fake fan, a fan with inferiority complex or a fan of the old regime and still bitter about replacing your beloved ex coach, you should see the marked improvements already.

I can list many great things that Golden and his assistants have done so far for this program. But to me, the most important change they brought is players' developments. What a night and day difference from what we had in the last 10 years. Not that this is surprising considering what AG has done at Temple. Many players who fans didn't think they would be productive turned out to be great contributors. A testament to the validity and effectiveness of the system he brought with him to this program.

Promoting the brand, energizing the fan base, recruiting, bringing back former Canes and re-establishing that "Cane Thing You Wouldn't Understand" among others.

What do you guys think of the most important change AG and company brought to this program?

IMHO, developing hope.

hope that all of the elements of the program are going to improve and that the on-the-field results will be better than in the past.

agree. this staff really seems to get the most out of players. the list of underperfomers or probably jags that have turned into solid or even very good players is impressive. off the top of my head:

J12
Streeter
McGee
Rodgers (holy **** never thought that would happen)
Armbrister
Gaines
Green

I feel bad for some of the guys that came through here in the last 2 coaching eras... as an example, Sean Spence was a beast, but imagine how good he could have been under our current regime.

Yes, I feel the same!

Changing the culture has to be up there at top. Shannon was supposed to do that and it never happened. I for one was skeptical anyone could after eight years of of bad leadership. What Golden has done is beyond remarkable.

emphasis on Strength and Conditioning and player development close second. we have always had talented teams but when we played Cal and wisconsin in the two bowl games under RS we got pushed around big time. last season and the season before we got physically dominated quite a few times in the regular season.

Itsacanething: I am very aware of strength and conditioning effect on the team performance, but I considered that under the general category of players' development. To change a player into a better player (develop) you have to improve his strength and conditioning.......not?

I think the biggest thing was keeping the team together ..... After foregoing 2 bowls these kids were feeling bad.... Talking to the two that i know many guys were mad about it.... I think the culture of our current canes is a complete 180 from the canes of 2008-2011.... These guys work and you see it on the field .. Good job AG... Go Canes....

He had an actual plan and he implemented it.

He changed a number of things, but the easiest way to put it is that he came in with a vision, a detailed plan on how to achieve it, and he executed it.

He brought deep roots to the Mid-Atlantic...there is some talent to be plucked and he is the man that can do it.

FIGUEROA!

This. The change in attitude and culture is at the top for me. To me everything flows from there. That change extends beyond the players to the staff, the administration, and department, etc. There's an energy that exists now that was lacking before and it flows through the whole program.
