if our defense doesnt bring it from the start i will be very nervous...this is not a team we want to come from behind against. we cant start slow like we did against gtech and unc and expect to drop our sacks in the 4th quarter.

Great write-up as usual, Dan. That D of their is LOADED with athletes and playmakers. The Fuller brothers are ballhawks who will hit you too. And that DL is nasty too. They're going to try to beat us up and make this a blood bath.

^ This. We have to bring the heat. If we sit back and let Thomas pick us apart it is going to be a slow painful death.

This. One can argue that VT has a better defense than FSU. One thing that I see from the scouting report is that they have experience and strength/speed on the DL. 2 stout DTs, 1 beast SR DE who is strong and fast and a pass rush specialist. Their back 7 is good as well. It will be tough to move the ball on them.

I can see us going down 14-3 early and then the game ends 17-14.
 
BC showed you can run the ball right at them. Maybe those great DT don't play well moving backwards. Fosters D works great coming up the field and attacking. I think the Canes will shove the ball right down their throat.

Yes I think we run our best with Crawford in a straight smash mouth football using our big lineman to maul..

I agree.

I also think Mr. Williams is a darn good RB and our issue is we lost our RB. To do this our stable will need to step up.

Stephen Morris is much better then Logan Thomas even on 1 leg. Logan Thomas throws 2 INTs and Miami can turn em into points. Stephen Morris throws 2 INTs and Miami is going to already be up by 2 Touchdowns.

the 1st half could be slow b/c of the FSU game last week but Miami should win by double digits in the end.

VT's defense isnt better then FSU's at all or Florida's before all their injuries....

Miami's defense wont have nearly as much on their plate to have to defend against Logan Thomas and VTs offense.... the talent edge goes to UM's defense against VTs offense.

Miami could just as easily go up 14-3 on VT, then win the game 21-10.

Thanks Dan. Been saying it all year: Those Fuller brothers are GOOD. Morris has to be smarter than he has been against these 2

Their pass offense isn't bad at all with Stanford, Knowles, Byrn, Coles, and Kline. If we don't get pressure on Thomas he'll pick this *** zone coverage apart like everyone else does.
 
I can see us make Logan Thomas look like a Heisman candidate again. This predictable, no-pressure D can't stop a nosebleed.

you mean the defense that was #11 in scoring prior to holding fsu to their lowest point total of the season? the same one that put the only dent in jameis winston's heisman campaign?
