I'll take 7 for 10 for 145 yards and 1 td for Morris.

55 rushes for 325 yards 4 td's for our rb's.

Have to hit them where it hurts, their undersized front 7, which also isn't very deep.
Run it right at Chistian Jones and see how he likes getting pancaked by Seantrel.

I might be the only person in America who truly believes in their heart and mind, that we are a team that is tailor made to beat this FSU team in all 3 phases of the game.

We are bigger, stronger, deeper, just as fast, emotionally tougher, and the best conditioned team in the country.

One thing we should all consider: we haven't seen The Canes' best yet. Not even close to their best.

I think we see it on Saturday night and we put their lights out.

Why? Because it's a passing game?

If they can't stop the run, why would you throw a shiitload of passes.
Bust them in the mouth and run a train up their asses.
Remember the Notre Dame game last year?
I don't think they passed it once the second half because they didn't need to.
Why? Because our 285lb dts, 240lb de's and 215lb lbs weren't big enough or strong enough to stop them.
Those are the measurements of fsu's front 7.

Lol at being stupid enough to play into your opponent's strengths.

Our offense is at it's best when we're balanced rushing/passing. Gotta to keep them honest with the threat of the home run ball or the run game doesn't work the same.


Yes we will be able to run the ball on FSU but eventually their gonna load that box up and we'll have to spread them out.

10 passes is a ridiculous number and you know it.

Actually, I don't know it.

If a team can't stop you from doing something, why would you do something different?
Traditionally, it's the run to set up the pass, but if FSU keeps their safeties back, I'd run it on their asses all day long.

UNC and wake were desperately trying to stop us pounding it up their asses, but it didn't make a difference.

Pretty demoralizing when a team pounds you over and over again with the run.
When a team dominates you with the run game, it's like getting your manhood crushed.

We need to utilize our strengths and emphasize their weaknesses.
We need to pound them until their bravado and courage are replaced by utter fear.
 
You have to remain as balanced as possible to be successful at running the ball consistently. Keep them honest. When Coley called passing plays on 2nd and short last week I applauded it. That is a running down, which should have set up nicely for Morris (he **** the bed anyway). If you think we're going to be able to win this game without throwing the ball a good amount, then you just really don't understand football. We might be able to wear them down towards the end of the game and pound the rock like we've done the previous two weeks, but that won't be the ticket all game.

As much as I love the CANES, Morris has had me steaming the past two games with his fear of any kind of pressure.

I think we definitely have to run the ball right at them and nix the stretch plays early. Then play coverage on defense and only rush four…including AQM and McCord on the edges and Chick and Pierre on the interior. Cant man up on those receivers cuz **** just throws it up to his big guys and it seems to keep working!? WTF??

Coach D took the defense from 116th last year to 18th currently. I'm going to trust that he knows what he's doing.

I agree that Morris gives me zero confidence to get the job done at the moment.

His style of play-calling worries me this game. Rushing only 3 or 4 most of the game with a soft zone behind it is a recipe for disaster against Winston. He'll pick that **** apart and their athletes will break more tackles than Wake did against us.

Man… really hope you are right. I know these games are usually battles. The talent level between these kids aren't that different i know…but like you said, if we get physical early and get mean and nasty….it could be a big national upset. Not to mention Stephen Morris lives up to all his verbal hype.

I think 75% may be a little high, I don't think he needs to have some crazy games in terms of yards and TDs. Just complete a high percentage of passes (65-70%) and not turn it over.

Basically if he performed how he did against USF (222 Yards, 2 TDs/0 INTs, 69%), I would be pretty happy.
