manny diaz is coaching dook and manny diaz aka guidry is coaching the miami defense

and i'm a guidry fan but the inability to tackle in space, or cover an out route and breakdowns in the secondary are becoming harder and harder to ignore

Watching Powell break down for a tackle on a tunnel screen 7 yards away from the WR instead of driving and attacking the ball carrier... some of this isn't a coaching problem, it's a Wizard of Oz type of issue with some of these players.

speak on it ... i'm as level headed as it gets, but i'm not sure how anyone with any type of football knowledge can tell me that defense is improving and to tbh, that it doesn't resemble a manny diaz defense ... our best defensive performance was 8 weeks ago ... folks getting excited about shutting out fsu, cmon now, who hasn't shut out fsu this year

Yea they suck but then again you had “our fans” saying we would allow them to score their season high

i'm astonished that people don't see this ... i recognize game pressure matters as well a pressure from the dline ... but our inability to tackle in space is alarming ... my thoughts are geared toward cuse and the acc championship game when we play qb's with a pulse

If my aunt had balls, she’d be my uncle.
If ifs and buts were candy and nuts, every day would be Christmas.

If FSU had a heartbeat on offense, they likely would’ve punted more instead of going for it so many times on 4th down.
If FSU had a heartbeat on offense, what’s to say we would’ve kept the same slow, methodical game plan on defense?
If FSU had a heartbeat on offense, what’s to say we wouldn’t have gone for TDs more instead of settling for FGs?

We are 8-0. We are not perfect - no team is. We are however a real contender and relevant nationally. The trajectory of the program is terrific. Take the rain cloud elsewhere please.

i'm on record saying i hope our defense continues to improve as the season progresses ... but improvement are in the "ifs" ...

I’m a little disappointed you didn’t call me a name. That said, how? How are we going to get it done? I’m not being snarky, I’m asking because we don’t have Ed Reed and Antrel Rolle on the sidelines waiting to enter the game. Hill and Richard both suck. I don’t think anyone on this board will disagree with that, but who do we have on the roster right now who can replace them and do better? It’s like the simpletons who solve work issues by “just firing them.” Firing the nimrod does not solve the problem - it actually creates a new one - who do you replace them with?

I’m glad we won. But a spade is a spade. Our defense has not been good and has not been getting better. That worries me for upcoming match ups.

like i said, i'm a level headed guy, not here to name call ... i am here to chop it up about my canes ... you make good points about personnel ... damari brown hurt more than i thought he would

The back half of the defense stinks like the landfill off the turnpike near Coconut Creek. My expectations are tempered accordingly. It’s the post-win negativity and worry that twists my lacy panties.
