...had a quarterback as athletic and strong-armed as Stephen Morris, he was an assistant coach with the Broncos. Expect Fisch to use Morris in many of the same ways that Shanahan/Bates used Jay Cutler. Bootlegs, sprints and other forms of quarterback movement to take advantage of his speed and downfield throwing.

Here are some Cutler clips from the year before Fisch got to Denver (same offense):

From 2011...

Miami (FL) offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach Jedd Fisch has served on coaching staffs under Spurrier, Brian Billick, and Mike Shanahan. A year ago, Fisch coached the quarterbacks under Pete Carroll in Seattle.

Today, Fisch explained his offensive scheme and practice philosophy to Sun Sentinel writer Steve Gorten.

Fisch explained,”I would say the greatest influence on our offense would be Coach Shanahan in regards to what we do. I think Coach Billick has the greatest impact in terms of how we do it, and I think Coach Spurrier’s impact is that in the back of mind always it’s OK to take a chance and go for it.”

"If you turned our film on, Coach Shanahan would recognize the plays more than anyone else because it's from the book we ran in Denver in Seattle."

I wish Fisch was in the booth rather than on the sidelines. D$, what college team do you think Fisch wants the offense to most resemble? (Wisconsin, Stanford, etc)?

Jedd used to design playbooks for a living. He has created a playbook for Miami that will get the ball in the hands of all of his weapons by using Stephens strengths. I'm sure he'll call a game completely different for Williams as well. Jedd is a mad scientist.

I fully expecting a wide open O this year. Better QB, better O line play, and 2 years in the system should mean that we can run any play at any time to take advantage of our strengths. I'm sweating out the receivers a bit, not cause they're not talented, but because I'm not sure how long it'll take for them to click Sith Morris.

I cannot wait to see Morris do his thing. I think a lot of the people questioning his ability are going to be pleasantly surprised.

I don't want to get too far ahead but if Fisch is still here next year I think there's no telling how good Morris can be. With the weapons we are getting, with some continuity, Morris could leave here with a brilliant career. Long way to go though.

I don't know if anyone has grabbed the wheel for the Fisch bandwagon but I've got my driving gloves on.
