The Key Recruit

I think it has less to do with what "we" think will create buzz or momentum about a class and more to do with what kid literally garners the attention of his peers. It really doesn't have to be the most talented. I have a suspicion it's a guy like Winky. He's the guy in the park that is chosen as captain.

I'd like to hear from the guys who know some of these kids or have been around them at the community level.

I don't see Lane committing early.

From what I've read about Winky he does a lot for his team and probably has a lot of respect from his peers. Another guy who seems to absolutely love the U and would sell the **** out of Miami is Alin Eduardo.
 
What I wanna know is who are the keefs of this class or the m. Thomas type kids who could very likely get all our hopes up and crush them in the end by leaving to F$U
 
Sony if we can get him on board.

Darling is definitely out there recruiting for us and Cook is his teammate so....

The Keefs won't develop until they get a little fan hype and coach love. It's still early so we won't know until the Fall. Keef didn't start Keefing until some other schools started offering. He was rock solid all during the summer. The M. Thomas kid will probably be one of the running backs.........................sony?

The bad part about having so many 5* blue chips in the area is that you all know **** well we are going to have to play the "hat game" with most of them. Lane, Michel, Dixon, and Clark know they are beasts and are gonna want the cameras. Maybe more..

To answer the question..It cant be Eduoard or Winky just by themselves becuz who knows when they will get offers. Winky said he would have his by Feb but we haven't heard anything yet. Does Edouard have that kinda pull in the city? I think this is one of those years where we will need 2 guys to commit early and then convince everyone else to stay. If we can get a guy like Tyre Brady(if offered) and Eduaord to committ I think they can start the domino effect. Kinda like the 08' class. Once Jacory and Forston committed it was over. They started dropping like flies.

Sony will garner the attention of his peers while also making a HUGE splash in recruiting.

If a kid of his caliber commits early and sticks, then it will be big among his peers. Hometown kid, supreme talent, early commit.


My second choice would probably be KC McDermott.

Thing about Sony is he is a kid that has been beating up the camp circuit for years. I'm sure by now he has plenty of other big time talents keeping an eye on him. I would think he is the type that could*carry a lot of weight with other guys besides just being talented.
