The Great Wall of Mirabal

You can’t wait for that, can you? Good Lord man you need to be on heavy duty drugs. Every ******* post from you is negative. Every. Single. One.
Not every one. Some are sarcastic. Some welcome newcomers to the U. Some post memes or gifs. You are really slipping in your monitoring of my posting. But it is Spring, time to be positive and celebrate the offseason wins, fine dining and Greentree All-Americans.

LOL and you finish up your porst confirming what I pointed out with more thinly veiled, sarcastic negativity. I’ll give you kudos for consistency.

And no, I don’t monitor your posts.

I go to a thread I’m interested in, and you pollute pretty much every one I click on, with your negative ideation. You do you, I’m not trying to stop you. But I thought it might be appropriate for some self reflection on your part.

Just remember, don’t be hard on yourself:

You read everything so negatively, I am just here making sure my buddy @grover is staying balanced. (I agree with him that these dudes are like really good dudes, and rep the school well. Don't love seeing players thrown under the bus to defend the coaches.)

I'm leading the charge that this will be the best OL at Miami since Mario and Mirabal got here. It's a massive group, biggest OL in ACC, and one of the biggest groups in America.

LT-Markel Bell 6'9 345
LG-Matt McCoy 6'7 337
C-James Brockermeyer 6'3 298
RG-Anez Cooper 6'6 338
RT-Francis Mauigoa 6'6 342

Top 3 reserves:

LG-C-Ryan Rodriguez 6'3 305
T-Tommie Kinsler 6'7 340
T-Samson Okunlola 6'6 310

This OL returns 4 starters from Miami, plugs in a Honorable Mention BIG 12 starter at C.

I think this group will field 4 All ACC performers by end of season on 1st, 2nd, and/or 3rd teams.

If Bell can be as good as Rivers was, or at least very close, I agree with you.

The right side should be absurdly good. Center should be well above-average.

So if you want to really break it down, let's just call Lee to Carpenter to Brockermeyer a wash.

The right side will be better in 2025 than it was in 2023 or 2024. So can the left side hold serve?

Rivers/Cohen in 2023
Rivers/Bell/McCoy in 2024
Bell/McCoy (or someone unseats him) in 2025

Again....if Bell = Rivers, and that's no small ask since IMO Rivers will be on a 53 man roster in the fall, then yeah, I think this will be the best line Mario has had here, again because of the natural progression/improvement of the right side. You have a potential Top 5, Top 10 overall pick at RT. You have a very good, 40+ game starter at RG. You're gonna be very good on that side, better than you have been. If the left can even be equal to what it was last year, then yeah we will have the best line Mario/Mirabal have had here, and it'll be Top 10 nationally, for sure.

Not saying you're wrong, but where are you getting those heights and weights. I've always seen McCoy around 6'6 295. Never seen Kinsler at 6'7. And listed heights are frequently exaggerated.

Dmoney said yesterday on the Pod that Kinsler was bigger than Francis, so 6'6/6'7 seems right. Also 295 for McCoy? He's definitely not that light lol

Mirabal talks heights and weights in his interviews. Prior to 2024 season he gave an interview said McCoy was 6'7 and 337. He is massive, and isn't anywhere close to 300 pounds. @DMoney will tell you McCoy hasn't seen 300 pounds in a long time. KInsler is probably slightly over 6'6, maybe not quite 6'7.

Mauigoa is fluctuating between 338-344 depending on how much he eats during a day per either Mirabal or Mario in an interview.

Can't say he's better than Lee was yet.

Fair. I predict he will be. Think he's equal to Lee in pure pass blocking and to Carpenter in pure run blocking, which already puts him above either. B he also adds the dimensionality of pulling which Mirabal like a lot. IMO, where Lee had the advantage was in his intensity and leadership. Not sure we need that as much this time around with all the other guys being so much more senior now.

Can't wait to see these guys punish their opponents and smash them.into the turf...

Pure weaponisation of the oline is gonna be great to see...

RB room gonna love to run behind these guys...

Best depth than Miami has had at the offensive line since Mario took over...

Winning is everything. But it also feels good to have a group of players whom I genuinely like. These young men all seem to have outstanding character. Every time they are in front of the media, they are excellent ambassadors of the program and school.
Lot of NIL right there , we’d all be smiling like that also being topped off in cash.
