Looks like they lost some key players. Not sold on their *** QB, either. They should have lost 4 more games last year.
Whats the word on this matchup, early?

They lost a whole bunch up the middle of their defense. It'll be interesting to see how they perform on defense.
It'll also to see our defense perform against a physical team. We all know how our D faired last year against physical offenses.
The DL will continue to be a hindrance unless guys really grow up fast. Not so sure that they'll be ready by September 7, but we can probably outscore them if our offense and ST are on point.

I'll be stunned if the U does not get absolutely curb-stomped.
The U could not score against top 15 D's last year. They were utterly impotent. Gates likely have a top 15 D. Likewise, decent, physical O's ran train on the U all year long. I mean I do not believe ND threw a pass in the second half. Klein is STILL running. We lost to Virginia. We lost to UNC at home.
I love me some Canes but Sapp, Kennedy, Brown and Hendricks ain't trotting out against the Gates and until the U finds playas like that up front, along with a nasty OL, the U will not be back. We can't stop anyone.
Just sad. Yes, Golden will fix it, but not against the Gates.
