First off congratulations to the owners of Canesinsight, you've done a great job. Your reporting of Miami sports has filled a void and Peter's recruiting coverage has been excellent. I only hope you can pickup a national network like Scouts because Canes Time has become close to totally worthless. At one point they were good but that was years ago and now you've got their subscribers. I don't even know if they have a local reporter as I believe Bakas maybe in Orlando?

There's a lot of recruiting information available through the sports networks. It seems to me that 247 Sports is not doing all that well but they're new and they have tied up with CBS. Rivals is in with Yahoo which seems to be doing well, ESPN is weak in local coverage and Scout suffer in this market as CanesTime has become a non-player. I would hope that maybe if CanesTime ceases to exist CanesInsight would pickup that affiliation. Again CanesInsight is great and your work is appreciated.

Please do not join a network. Stay independent and do it the way you have been.

Agree!!!
It seems that when a Cane site joins a network, they become become beholden to other interests that are not Cane-friendly.
Witness Gary Ferman kissing up to Yahoo! and their scum reporters who hacked away at UM athletics and witness canestime/greasy who
allow gayturds to squat on that site, insult UM football and its fans and allow moles and other fans to disrespect the UM (witness latest
thread where they poke fun of Al Golden's wife).

There were preliminary discussions. Apparently they did not like D$ showing up to their home offices in fatigues and aviators, he was promptly escorted from the property.

I would hope that the site will remain independent, but when money talks people tend to listen. Looking at the mess that is Canestimes, an old dumpster fire that has almost burnt itself out of existence, I speculate that the terms of any relationship between CIS and Fox/Scout would have to be largely determined by D$ and his partners because as far as reporting on our Canes is concerned this site is the superior product.

Really? I hadn't heard that. Has anyone told our QB, Kyle Wright?

If affiliation is necessary, I would say becoming one of the espn Nation sites is the best bet

2 reasons why this site came to be. 1 of them is what is now known as The wEz. The other was unsatisfactory coverage of recruiting and the team. Both problems stem from being associated with a network.

We have better recruiting info here, or just as good, without all the bull**** you have to deal with from a corporate overlord. Does anyone here think we are underinformed? I don't. In fact, I think the fact that this place is unaffiliated makes it easier to pool information from a bunch of different sources without having to do the stupid "TOS" thing and other such nonsense.

There is really no incentive for us to join another network. We are fortunate enough to have a great team and a team with many different skill sets. CanesTime (scout) has a terrible site and substandard coverage. A matter of fact, I can't think of one advantage they have over us other than they are easy to find being attached to a network. We got great things planned in the future so I am pretty excited with our direction. The two things you can count on not changing are us ever joining a network and us never charging for content.

Don't like to lay blame on just one person, but if need be done, just blame one person for the fall of CanesTime ------ DBC before he got ate by de bear!

DBC drove away more posters than they can even imagine. Can't think of any person (sane or insane) who has been banned from as many sites as he has.

For the last time, he was not eaten by a bear. He was only partially consumed. It was the swine flu he got from the bear that did him in.

DBC was the worst gimmick of all time. Anything over 2 pages and you knew it was just a bunch of back and forth over nothing with that guy.
