Golden is so full of **** that only the Golden slurpers would believe the bs quotes he gives to the media..... when has he ever said "i need to do a better job at coaching" he hasnt b/c he's a fraud.

If he said that then he would've fired D'onofrio, but if he fired him that would be like firing himself since he believes and thinks the same way Dorito does smh.

When you cry after losing to Duke about how this team isnt back that means you no longer have credibility.

While I believe the DC is unlikely to get the axe this offseason, he was most certainly, absolutely, never going to get fired mid-season. Ludicrous.

Your original point was that Golden doesn't take personal responsibility while Coley does. People here crushed your argument. I couldn't believe you posted it considering how many times Golden has said that he needs to do a better job. Call it lip service if you'd like -- that's all coaches provide on non-gamedays -- but you can't reward one man's lip service (Coley's) and trash that same lip service from another coach.

Coley said it "starts with" him. Golden only said "the buck stops with" him. Where does "it" start, and why does only "the buck" stop with Golden? What happened to rest of it? Coaching is about more than just the buck. Why is he using a negative? Coley starts. Things stop at Golden. This is a disaster. There's a lot at play here on a pseudopsychoanalytical level.

Here's why I love Golden: when the whole program exploded, he led his coaches INTO the fire. He didn't run away from a potential Death Penalty, he rallied his people and WON.

That's right, I said WON. 6 wins to 7 wins to now 8-9-10 wins with a team so devoid of depth we had to bring in 2 d line cast offs so we could field a defensive line.
Christ, we didn't even have a punter until he got the cyborg.
Golden has had to recruit with both hands tied.
This year he's had to coach minus more than 10% of the allowable scholarship players.
We are playing down 10 players. Think about that.
Also think about why. Whether it's because of self imposed sanctions or that we couldn't even beg 10 guys extra to come here with the Sword of Damocles getting ready to drop, the point is that Miami has not exactly been an ideal destination for the past couple years.
