The D Coaching or Players?

op is a wlgger but I think it's all coaching.

Nobody is ever in a position to make a play. The only times this defense makes a play is when an opposing QB throws an errant pass.

The defense was in position all game long against UF. I seem to recall them picking up 5 turnovers. Maybe as the season has gone along and they've been left on the field all game long every game because our offense fails to sustain drives they've worn down a bit due to lack of depth?

No. It's the coaching. It sucks.

No, it's not. Please name all these ballers on this defense right now. Porter? Renfrow? Highsmith? Rogers? Cornelius? Green? GTFOOH! The coaching got this team to 7-0. The talent got this team to 7-2.

That's the ******* point. Comparing other teams is absurd because in any given season you can line up a series of events that while related, make no logical sense to the discussion at hand. I don't give a **** about Marshall and ECU like JackOAT. It makes no ******* sense to compare other teams. We lost straight up to VT last Saturday. That is what matters. Not who beat who and that transitive bull**** people are laying down about those team holding VT to less points.

Tell ya what, give our entire roster to Beamer and his sidekick, and he'd have the number one defense in the country. We could take his number one defense and ask them to do what we do and they'd be ranked in the lower 90's. I firmly believe that. Beamer would kill, kill, kill for yearly access to our natural home grown talent.

Not really... You really underestimating the talent in the tidewater area.
Plus what Beamer has is a system that took him decades to perfect and recruits players that physically and mentally can play in it. Early in his career his teams were crap. Took like 5 years to have winning seasons.
It would take him as much to turn this team around.
