McCord has looked good and I hope to see him as a situational pass-rusher. I realize he some serious growing to do, but the kid gets arounfd the QB.

Coach D isnt going to change the game plan. This season is as much about the young guy learning the scheme, staying within it and accepting it as it is winning games. So maybe there will be a wrinkle here or there but I think the defensive plan will be the same it has been all season. The difference is with every game we get better so we will play better than we did at BC. We will win but it will come down to the wire like most of our games will during this season.

I agree with D'onofrio getting creative. I hope that we are aggressive and try to create turnovers. I doubt that the D can stop Glennon and co all day but create some turnovers and some stops with aggressive play.
 
Blitz all **** day and leave the corners on their islands. If Miami does what they did the first two games ("bend don't break") this will be a loss.
 
i got a feeling no answers will be come about our CBs. We'll sit in off coverage and let them complete easy passes and the only questions about our CBs that will be answered is if they can consistently make the tackles without giving up much after the catch. true cover skills might be hard to gauge.

Better get pressure on Glennon. I think he shreds us if we give him all day. Their OL is suspect though and have given up 14 sacks already. Tied for second worse in the nation. With our DL I think we are going to have to send some extra men at him.
 
Best defense is a good offense. Face it: they'll score 30 -35. We'll just need to score more. Like in the BC-GT games.

I expect our D to be better than it was against BC, we will still probably have to score over 35 to win
 
Our best hope for this season is to force more FG's and score more TD's than them.


With our DL, it's hard to judge the CB's.


Hopefully all the young guys will master the D we are running as the seaspn goes on and we can see more blitzes.
 
it all starts with pressure.. if glennon is comfy in the pocket.. we're going to be in bad shape.

Cant wait to see the game plan unfold...... Will be interesting to see how much faith the staff has when calling defenses in situations.....
 
This defense is giving up FORTY points a game against 1A teams so far and the secondary has been about as porous as your grandmothers cheesecloth. Not sure how to spin what we've seen in anyway to make me optimistic.

Lets hope the offense puts up 41.
